Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Senior Consult Canned Cat Food is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shock: They Both Love It The positive: Both of our almost 16-year-old Siberian cats who needed a reduced protein cat food love the canned food, and one loves the kibble. The other, our sensitive diva, will eat 20-30 pieces if hand fed. Our third senior mixed breed cat likes it too, though it does not make up the majorit of his diet. (Our sensitive diva has never liked canned food, other than AD, given after a dental surgery and another major surgery, plus occasionally after stomach upsets. AD is extremely rich and high in protein, so is not recommended for long term use.) The negative: some cans were badly dented, and others pushed in at the bottom. I tossed the dented ones, and Chewy quickly replaced the case. We don't think the dents happened during shipping. When we bought some "test" cans from our veterinarian, some were also dented.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent food well tolerated by my 2 cats. I was pleased to be able to get the food at I was unsure if I could get it because it was ordered by my vet in Canada. But, it was no problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from flavorless My cats turned their noses up at this. I have to mix it with cheap wet food before they will eat it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product but cat not so sure This food was recommended by our veterinarian for Mrs. Lefay, age 16, a Snowshoe Siamese mix, who has kidney disease and a tendency towards urinary tract infections. We also feed her the dry version of this food, which she likes. She doesn't care for the canned so much, usually leaves about half of the half-can we feed daily. But she has always liked dry food better than canned so we're not surprised. I wish I could get her to eat the canned more because the additional moisture would be good for her ailing kidneys, but my opinion apparently counts for very little :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from She likes it and seems healthy, noticeably improved. She eagerly eats the diet and has improved intestinal health. She also needs the S/O index for her urinary and I feel confident to give her this food. A great all in one food for urinary and senior needs. There seems to be a high moisture content in the food she needs and I feed her can food exclusively.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good alternative for bedtime snack I have two cats on the Royal Canin renal diet and one on the urinary tract diet. They get very, very tired of the same thing meal after meal. As this product is okay for kidney and urinary tract issues, and they are all older cats, I checked with my vet when I saw this and he approved it. Glad I saw it as it provides them a bit of a change for their bedtime snack as it is pork based, giving a different flavor profile. They are scarfing it down so far, even my little miss picky!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended by my vet, well-tolerated by the cat. My picky-eater cat actually likes it! As it was recommended by my veterinarian, I am most pleased that not only is the cat tolerating it, she actually seems to be enjoying it!
