  • I guess it's pretty tasty for a prescription food!

    By on

My girl got a severe UTI and the vet recommended this food. I was concerned that she may not like it but she is gobbling it up so I am very thankful. When she is done and hasn't quite gotten every morsel my boy goes behind her and finishes it up. So far, her litter box habits are normal and the infection hasn't returned so I guess it is doing what it's supposed to.

  • cat is a dry food eater, and would not try it

I bought this for my cat with a gum condition, however, he was always a dry cat food eater, and he refused to try the moist.

  • Ate it for a while, then decided to dislike it. Still hoping

    By on

My cat who is on the edge of Kidney Disease was prescribed this instead of the other RC KD foods (which have a statement about not being the exclusive food for the cat). He ate it ok at first, then decided he didn't like it. It's on pause until he decides he doesn't like his current food and hopefully he will go back to it for a while. Vet said increasing wet food was the most important thing, so that's what we're doing.

  • Food wasn't tasty

    By on

This pate wasn't enjoyed or eaten. They told me to donate food and they wouldn't charge me. Tried another option but needed to add some salmon to it to make the cat eat it

  • Not a big hit in our house.

    By on

I've got very picky kitties, and this one just did not pass the test. Nothing against the food, and I'm sure that it might be a hit in some other household, so that's why I recommending it. My advice would be to try it out first, and then buy the case.

  • Feline Prescription Food

    By on

If you have finicky cats as I do, sometimes they need to have just a bit of another cat food flavor to peak their interest. Just like us, we just take a while to go for something different.

  • Shock: They Both Love It

    By on

The positive: Both of our almost 16-year-old Siberian cats who needed a reduced protein cat food love the canned food, and one loves the kibble. The other, our sensitive diva, will eat 20-30 pieces if hand fed. Our third senior mixed breed cat likes it too, though it does not make up the majorit of his diet. (Our sensitive diva has never liked canned food, other than AD, given after a dental surgery and another major surgery, plus occasionally after stomach upsets. AD is extremely rich and high in protein, so is not recommended for long term use.) The negative: some cans were badly dented, and others pushed in at the bottom. I tossed the dented ones, and Chewy quickly replaced the case The positive: Both of our almost 16-year-old Siberian cats who needed a reduced protein cat food love the canned food, and one loves the kibble. I was pleased to be able to get the food at Chewy.com I was unsure if I could get it because it was ordered by my vet in Canada. But, it was no problem.

My cats turned their noses up at this. I have to mix it with cheap wet food before they will eat it.

  • Good product but cat not so sure

    By on

This food was recommended by our veterinarian for Mrs. Lefay, age 16, a Snowshoe Siamese mix, who has kidney disease and a tendency towards urinary tract infections. We also feed her the dry version of this food, which she likes. She doesn't care for the canned so much, usually leaves about half of the half-can we feed daily. But she has always liked dry food better than canned so we're not surprised. I wish I could get her to eat the canned more because the additional moisture would be good for her ailing kidneys, but my opinion apparently counts for very little :)
