Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome solution food! My rescue kitty Buffy, has extremely debilitating food allergies. It took getting blood tests, (which came up with she is Feline Infectious Peritonitis well) and such before my Vet recommended I try Royal Canin Protein Duck diet. The combination of her FIP and her food allergies, it was difficult to keep any weight on her, she was under 6 lbs and losing weight! It turns out that although she is desperately allergic to chicken, she is not allergic to duck! Even the smallest amount, (even just a lick) of chicken sends my Buffy into frenzied itching and chewing herself, to the point I have to give her an allergy pill, just to give her any peace. She was also losing her fur a lot!! After putting her on the Royal Canin PD for only a few days, she completely stopped being itchy and chewing on herself. After being on it for a few months, her coat is now beautiful and glossy, and she has gained weight and been able to maintain 7.5 lbs since we started the RCPD. She has been on this diet now for 1.5 yrs, I wouldn't feed her anything else!!!! Thank you Royal Canin, Love Buffy❤! January 6, 2017

Rated 5 out of 5 by My cat loves this food. Have been ordering this food for a while and get it on a automatic resend program. It is a nice way to do it and it comes quickly-within 2-3 days. November 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product and service. Thank you Royal Canin Veterinary Diet was recommended by Meow's Vet years ago for skin allergies. It's her food. It's all she will eat. She is nine now and has the most beautiful coat (except for a bald stomach caused by the allergies). She doesn't care though. She knows she's georgous. Thank you October 31, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great brand, nice discount I have been buying this brand of cat food for a several years and my cats do well on it. It is very expensive and it was nice to find an automated order that comes at a discount. October 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Biggest Dry Food Bag! You are able to buy the biggest bag of Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Selected Protein Adult PD Dry Cat Food on the Chewy.com website. All local stores only carry the 8.5 pound bag - so a 17.6 pound bag is a great deal. This food works great for our cat who has IBS! September 14, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tasty but ingredients are problematic My vet prescribed this food as a way to determine whether my cat has food allergies. Actually, my vet originally prescribed the wet food, but felt my cat wasn't getting enough calories so she suggested I also feed my cat a little dry food. My cat liked the taste of this food. However, after buying the food, I realized the ingredients are problematic. First, a cat could be allergic to not only chicken, but to all poultry, so duck is not the best for an elimination diet. Second, this food has soy and fish oil - two other potential allergens. As a result, I feel that this food was a waste of time and money. My cat still is allergic to something but this food did not help me figure it out what she is allergic to. There are much better foods out there, like Hound and Gatos Pork formula, that are much cheaper and do not contain potential allergens. September 3, 2015
