Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Moderate Calorie Canned Cat Food is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product so far I have four cats and out of the four two have chronic digestive issues. After every test pertinent to the issue the vet put them on a brand of cat food for IBS. They ate it for awhile but were still having bad diarrhea…then they just stopped eating it unless I added inexpensive canned food to it. Things really got ugly after that…explosive diarrhea. The constant cleaning of litter boxes, walls, and kitty butts was just about to send me around the bend. THEN, after venting to our ever patient Vet, he suggested we try Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Fiber Response Dry Cat Food. Unbelievable!! They absolutely LOVED it…chowed down like there was no tomorrow. There was about a week of adjustment to the food…lots and lots of poo but NO diarrhea. Since then the amount of poo has lessened, it has a good consistency and NO diarrhea and they still love the stuff. I've tried them on the wet food but they aren't as crazy about it as the dry even though they were on canned food before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cat likes it My vet gave me this to try temporarily and my cat really likes it. Shame it does not come in a pate because I have to mash down the pieces. I'm using this food for a reason and hope to get cat back on his regular food, if possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My kitty's love it So, I have a Pacific Northwest kitty that unfortunately suffers from something similar to megacolon. He gets backed up pretty easily and has had to visit the vet a few times to get "scooped out". Not a pleasant visit. Since being placed on this food it has really made a huge difference. Our vet only had the hard version of it which is great stuff but when I saw Chewy had the soft version I was really excited. I now order the soft and hard from chewy and give a little of both to my kitty and he gobbles it right up. It really is a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps My Cat Friend Do Better I recently spent a few thousand dollars trying to track down what has been wrong with Gem, an 11-year-old subdued torty. She had repeat cases of pancreatitis and liver problems. Blood work, x-ray, and ultrasound all showed problems, so she had exploratory surgery to see if intestinal and liver lesions were cancerous. They were not. We finally figured out it was a food allergy. In order to have normal digestive function, she needs higher fiber and digestion-friendly food. She uses this food, her blood is normal, and she's doing much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved the problem! Our cat developed severe diarrhea which returned after a 10-day course of antibiotics and probiotics and return to eating his usual food. After another course of antibiotics he was tried on both the canned and dry versions of this food. He readily eats it and the diarrhea has not returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great customer service My cat liked this special diet food, recommended by our vet...for awhile. He's fussy though and decided to turn his nose up just when I'd received a big shipment. I called and was issued a refund for the unused food. Representative was very nice and the process was easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hoping for good results!! I've only been feeding my cat this food for about 2 weeks so I can't give a full review but I can tell you the results so far. After the 2 weeks of feeding his stool does seem to be getting better. He is also eating the dry food.
