Instructions

Remove product tube from package. Holding tube with notched end pointing up and away from the face and body, cut off the narrow end at the notches. While holding the cat with one hand use the other to apply the solution. Invert the tube, and use the narrow end to part the cat's hair while gently squeezing to apply to the cat's skin. Hold the cat for a few seconds to give the solution time to be absorbed into the coat. When finished, wrap the tube in paper and put into the trash.

  • Really amazed at how well this worked

    By on

We care for an outdoor cat who has terrible allergies. He is allergic to fleas, but also to chemicals, and both frontline and revolution gave him a chemical burn on his neck! I felt terrible. I tried advantage and though it did not hurt him, it did not keep the fleas away! I then tried this product, and to my amazement it has been 3 months, he is happy & flea free, no chemical burns, no scratching his face to shreds, and he smells lovely as well. The first couple of days the smell is strong but it is like peppermint so I don't mind. For those saying they still got fleas, I do not believe this product kills flea eggs or larva. • Great if you don't have a flea issue!!

I love using natural ingredients for flea prevention and really like this sentry product!! I feel comfortable putting this on my 6 month old and my 12 year old furkids!! Only hard part is if you have a lot of fleas then it isn't super great, definitely more of a preventative. I use it with my vet prescribed flea meds when they had a lot (used purrscription 2 weeks after the vet flea meds) just for peace of mind. Smells great too!!

  • Sentry Natural Defense

I used this on one of my 8 cats because she's extremely sensitive to Frontline and Revolution. The smell is rather strong for a day or 2, but nothing we couldn't handle and it didn't break her out or irritate her like the others. It's been a week or just over since we used it and I am still finding some fleas, though they are not "jumping" the way fleas normally do. I hope they disappear shortly. If so, this product will be near perfect for her.

  • Very disappointed

    By on

I am part of a cat rescue group and have many cats coming and going at my house, many which are covered with fleas when they arrive. I'm always looking for a way to save money, and was especially excited about this "natural" cure that seemed to be a good deal. But unless you enjoy the smell of camphor and your cats losing a lot of their hair, this is not the answer. There seemed to be an explosion of fleas two days after putting this product on my foster cats and most of them have seemed very lethargic since. I would not recommend this product and will NOT be using it again. You get what you pay for...

  • Works for my cat!

    By on

I have been using this product for years as a cheaper alternative to frontline. My cat use to have bad fleas and he would seem to catch them easy. Used this after curing his fleas and I haven't seen a flea or egg since! Makes my cat smell strongly of peppermint but I like the smell. My cat also has allergies so that is another reason I have chosen this product for my kitty. Doesn't make his allergies flare up or his eyes water!

  • Smell vs Fleas

    By on

This product works as it should! Not a single flea or pesky mosquito. Or human. Or dog. Because, man, my cat is smelly! It's not a terrible smell, but it is very strong. Other than oily smelliness, this product is great!

  • Remarkable

I really didn't expect too much but so far I am thrilled. We live on 5 acres of land in the middle of nowhere. My kitty gets to run and play in the woods that she loves. When I first got her she was always coming home with tics. The vet said she must have found a nest. I will not use a collar so I tried the usual things. They worked fine, but I hated putting some of those chemical things on her. I decided to give this a shot, and with the 2 applications she has had there have been no tics. Some have complained about the odor, but I make my own deodorant with coconut oil, baking soda and cloves, so I rather enjoy the scent of this. Cloves to me has a fresh and clean smell. • Not sure it works.

    By on Top 100 Contributor

I have three cats but this only worked one cat. She is a long-haired ragdoll so that might have something to do with it. The others are short-hairs and the product didn't work as well. Fleas were repelled for a week only. Ticks were not killed or repelled. The smell was strong at first then became a subtle scent one month later. The smell never disappeared within the 30 days but it smells natural and almost like perfume so I suppose it's fine.
