  • Cat feeder

Got this not to use as a toy, but to use as a cat feeder. I am so tired of what comes up looking the same as before it went down and want to slow the eating speed down. One cat seems to enjoy using it. The other cat can, but seems to prefer glaring at me before getting something to eat. (that's the one that scarfs her food up so fast she upchucks it) The smaller size is perfect since I have had to keep the cat food on a shelf to keep it away from the dogs.

  • Terrible and boring

So the cats were interested in this briefly. I placed catnip balls inside to draw their interest, which did until the balls this thing came with rolled out of the holes. So box with holes that won't keep the balls inside. A definite waste of money.

  • Must be intended for kittens?

    By on

This looks like a well made toy, and it is attractive as cat toys go, but my cat completely ignores it, no matter what I put in it. It's pretty small for my adult cat - leaves me wondering if it is intended more for kittens than adult cats. I didn't notice that specification in any of the description info. Wish I had not opened it so I could send it back :0(

  • Had no interest!

I think that this could be a good toy for some cats. Cosmo had no interest in this at all!

  • Sturdy and Fun

It's a great way to pick up toys when we have company over, but doubles as a toy itself!

  • Good toy

    By on

I guess it depends on the cat and what they like. I have 3 cats and 2 will play with toy. One does off and on but my smallest cat loves it a lot. Especially at night she will spend about 15 to 20 working her paws into the holes trying to get the objects that I place there. It came with 2 balls but I add other little toys and she loves to search for them.

  • Solid MDF

This may look like wood in the photo, but it is medium density fiberboard coated with shellac. It is made in China. Concept is clever. Materials are different than description and reviews by those less aware suggest. It may require some airing out before the odor dissipates.

  • The box is beautiful wood but the holes are too small

    By on

I love the wooden box. Its finished like fine furniture but the holes on the side don't line up vision wise with the top and all the holes are too small. It comes with soft foam balls the size of a ping pong ball and they just barely fit through the hole. I bought some tiny black, gray, and white rattle mice and there is just no visual excitement because he can't really see in the box, its so low he has to lay on his side to peek in and its just not worth it compared to his other toys. So... I'm using it to stuff all his toys into when I want to pick up his room. It might work for hard food treats but he can't eat hard food so that's out. I have a shoe box that I've made into almost the same I love the wooden box. • Older cat not interested

    By on

Bought this to encourage my cats to play more. Neither is overly interested. Younger cat (12 years old) will play with it for about 10 seconds, get bored and walk away.

  • Well-made and keeps the kitten intrigued, though not for long stretches at a time

    By on

The beauty of this toy is that you can stuff it with a variety of different objects, including food treats, which provide for a nice variety to keep the cat entertained. Our kitten, however, tends to have a rather shorter span of attention with it. He'd rather roll a ball or jump all over the tree from Chewy (Armarkat). But, this peek & play box does serve a purpose. A decent product overall.
