Description

If you want to get in a bike ride, but your pet isn’t up to it, you can still take them along. Perfect for cycling to the dog park - you get a workout there and back, and your pet stays safe while you’re on the road. For those who are nervous about leashing their pet to a bicycle - the HoundAbout II solves that problem and your pet will love the ride. Solvit's design features an extra-wide wheelbase and a lower center-of-gravity to provide outstanding ride stability and easier access for pets getting in and out of the cabin.

Special pockets hold plenty of gear including cellphones, keys, leash, water bottle, treats, and more. The front door on the trailer includes a zippered, mesh screen layer plus a zippered, clear vinyl layer to block wind and weather. Use them in different configurations depending on riding conditions. The over-sized sunroof provides ample airflow and room for pets to peek their heads out and look about. A removable, washable cushion keeps pets comfortable on long rides. Assembles quickly and folds down for easy storage or transport.

  • Great for my 3-legged rescue dog

    By on

I adopted a 3 legged dog about 3 months ago. She gets around fine, especially running. But she is not a fan of walking far. This stroller has allowed me to venture out with her. We have not gone any further than a couple of blocks from home yet. She is pretty skittish, so it took me about 3 weeks before she would go in it on her own, but now she loves it. The only negative I have is that the directions aren't the best. A few more pictures to go along with the verbage would have helped tremendously. I also got the stroller attachment, so have not yet tried this on my bike as I wanted her to get used to it first. She weighs about 65-70 lbs and this is a perfect size. • Ideal Doggy Wagon

    By on

This trailer, wagon / trolley is really ideal for a medium sized dog. Light, airy and spacious it fits easily to any bicycle and the animal is very comfortable, safe and secure. If the dog feels safe then it's a winner and this one is just that. I highly recommend this product. The only recommendation to the maker would be a better set of assembly instructions with diagrams, the current document is not very helpful at all !

  • Love this trailer!

I just love this trailer! I wish I would have bought it years ago. It is easy to assemble, and easy to convert between the bike trailer and stroller. You can switch between the two within a few minutes. The trailer is well made, and is very reflective is you are riding after dark. The trailer has several pockets located on both sides for storage of leashes, bags, keys, etc. It also has a handy cup holder as well. I purchased the largest size trailer as I have a medium/large dog at 55lbs. This trailer pushes/pulls very easily. You really don't feel the weight at all. I have even put 2 dogs inside here increasing the total weight up the 65-70 lbs and you still really take tell you are pushing I just love this trailer! I wish I would have bought it years ago. My dogs just love going on rides/walks again. The only complaint, is the bed inside is a little slippery. I solved that issue by placing a piece of non slip cabinet liner under the bed and an old bath rug on top of it, to help hold it in place. That seemed to do the trick. All in all this was a great purchase! WIsh I would have bought it a couple years ago, when my baby first started having issues walking. Just glad I found it when I did! … more

  • Perfect for large breed dogs

    By on

We bought this stroller for our aging boxer. We have 3 dogs and take them for weekly hikes in state parks. One of them has had knee surgery and is over 10 years old and we didn't like the idea of leaving her at home while the others got to go. We wanted something that would do great "off road". This stroller went over roots and uneven terrain with ease.

The child trailer didn't work, duh! Our medium size 15 year old pup a little arthritic is comfortable in the Solvit Hound About ll large bike trailer. Sitting, turning, lying down and exiting rear door no problem! Replaced stock pad with orthopedic pad. Old girl can't walk long distances or run anymore. With this affordable bike trailer, now we can bike to the state park or commute to work. The pup is not left home alone and our lives are revitalized!!

  • AMAZING!!

I was so upset leaving my dog at home when i went for a ride and knowing he couldnt go as far or as long as i do. When i first looked i was concerned first with finding what would fit my dog and second with price. I have an 87lb lab mix and a small budget. Im so happy with this product and with the price from Chewy!! Thanks!

  • Dog Loves It

    By on

Sturdy, easy to assemble, quick connection to bike & my dog loves it. The only downside is the very thin pad that is not connected to the bottom of the trailer so it usually ends up bunched up in a corner. I'm going to look for a thicker pad that I can Velcro to the trailer.

  • nice trailor

This trailer is well made.I was a little worried that it wouldn't be big enough for my 106 pound lab.I tried it out this weekend because we had a 56 degree day.It rides really nice, and my dog seems to really like it.He can't really lay in it,but he sits in it.I think this is going to work out great,I like the idea of bringing my dog with me when I go on some biking trails. One thing that I changed was getting rid of that cheap slippery cushion.I made a new cushion with half inch plywood,2 layers of eggshell foam, and some nice durable navy material. It just fits in,it's soft and nicely padded, and it does not slide around at all.Everyone should do this,it is way better than that other cushion and This trailer is well made.I was a little worried that it wouldn't be big enough for my 106 pound lab.I tried it out this weekend because we had a 56 degree day.It rides really nice, and my dog seems to really like it.He can't really lay in it,but he sits in it.I think this is going to work out great,I like the idea of bringing my dog with me when I go on some biking trails. One thing that I changed was getting rid of that cheap slippery cushion.I made a new cushion with half inch plywood,2 layers of eggshell foam, and some nice durable navy material. It just fits in,it's soft and nicely padded, and it does not slide around at all.Everyone should do this,it is way better than that other cushion and it looks great.Anyone worried about how hard it is to pull a bigger dog?I was,but it is doable,a little more effort, but not too bad.Maybe it will get my legs in better shape, and I suppose if you go up a big hill you can always get off the bike and walk to the top. This is going to be fun,I can't wait for warmer weather.I recommend this for dog lovers who love to bike. … more
