My rescue 6 month old ferret was bones with teeth. She was "fed" with marshalls exclusively before I got her. She refused the marshalls, evo, wysong...absolutely refused any of the foods I normally feed, not even made into soup or scruffing and popping. She was almost gone when I tried the duck duck goose. We started out on a thin soupie with coconut oil for fat and sweetness. I did have to scruff and pop the first bite, after that she got a determined look on her face, buried her head in the soupie, and ate. We started out with 6 or 7 small feeding per 24 hours, and we are now breaky, lunch, and dinnering, she eats at least 20 pieces every day. She was a lethargic, shedding, tired lump. She is now a war dancing, tube running, dirt box digging, sock stealing ferret, and we love her. I have tried the chick chick chicken for meat balance, she is less enthusiastic, but I mix the two, still with coconut oil (I got a seriously affronted look when I forgot it once, with a tail twitch and refusal to eat, rotten carpetsnake). I will even admit I don't find the smell repulsive when I make the soupie, unlike some of the other foods I've tried. … more

  • My picky eater loves duck duck goose

    By on

I have a very picky male F2 Savannah... he wouldn't touch any dry kibble I tried, won't eat most wet foods, but loves Darwin's raw turkey. Even though he won't eat Darwin's raw duck, he loves Stella & Chewy's Duck Duck Goose. I give to him as treats (he won't eat most cat treats) or as a snack in between meals. As someone who has wasted hundreds of dollars on food & treats he wouldn't eat, I'm glad I finally found something he devours to give him more of a variety. Only thing is the pricing is a little on the high side which is why I only gave 4 stars. I am able to purchase from a local pet store for $3/bag cheaper.

  • Great alternative to raw feeding

    By on

This is a great product if you want to feed your carnivore a healthier diet but aren't ready to deal with raw food. I crumble this into water and feed it to my ferrets once a day as their "soupies" in addition to their constant bowl of premium cat kibble (Natures Logic feline rabbit meal feast) and they love it!

  • Adds a nice bit of variety to some meals

    By on

Brought some samples of this from a pet show and sprinkled it on top of our cats meals. They loved it and gobbled, down their food. Decided to get some from chewy and continue giving it on an occasional basis. So far it works great to give them a novel taste to their food. Realize this is actually meant as a meal in itself but we will continue using it as a type of cat food condiment. Good stuff.

  • My cat loves this food!

    By on

My cat love this food! I use it with Paul Newman's organic cat food and on it's own. Really easy to mix up. I've been using Stella & Chewy's dehydrated dog treats for a couple of years now so was excited to try the cat food and was not disappointed!

  • Both Cats Love It

    By on

One of my cats goes crazy over this food, and he can be super picky. My other cat likes it too, but it's not his favorite. It's too expensive to feed for whole meals every day, but it's great for treats and snacks.

  • Excellent alternative too raw feeding.

    By on

High quality food and good alternative to raw feeding. Easy to use and nice variety of proteins. Not inexpensive. Took a few weeks to transition my cat so patience is required.

Crumble this on top of moist food to tempt your cat's fussy taste buds. My cats also love it as a treat.

  • Duck Duck Goose Rocks!

    By on

Whatever is in this stuff, it rocks. I have 8 cats, it is rare for all to agree on ANYthing. They ALL love this. The latest, special-needs adoption wants only this stuff. God bless whoever invented it! We seem to be hooked!
