Description

New, improved sWheat Scoop Multi-Cat litter not only eliminates odors better, but clumps faster and firmer than ever. It’s great for high-traffic litter boxes that are frequently in use! Unlike many clumping litters, sWheat Scoop contains no silica dust, sodium bentonite or chemicals of any kind. That’s why it’s even recommended by veterinarians for kittens and post-surgical cats. Since sWheat Scoop litter absorbs moisture faster than ordinary clumping litter brands, the rest of the litter stays clean and fresh. Which means it can last longer between litter box changes, saving you significant time and money.

  • Worth every penny!

I had been wanting to switch to natural cat litter for a long time, but could never bring myself to buy pine litter because the smell reminded me of a hamster cage. I was scared Swheat scoop would have a funny odor too, but the smell of the wheat is actually very light and pleasant. The most important thing is that it keeps cat waste smells to a minimum WAY better than the perfumy clay litter I was using. Plus it is not as dusty or toxic as clay. My cat took to it right away, it clumps just fine, and I am already breathing better. Never going back to stinky clay!

  • Healthier for my cat and the planet

Does a great job clumping, tracks a little less than regular litter. I do notice when I'm scooping the clumps the urine smell is pretty bad, but the litter box itself doesn't smell once cleaned. And before cleaning it, A sniff reveals no odor. It just seems to be while scooping it. No fake fragrance, I don't believe that cats should walk on that perfume, and then lick their feet when they groom themselves. They are ingesting serious chemicals every single day by doing so.A small price to pay for my cats health, and the health of the planet. Very happy with this new litter, and as always extremely happy with Chewy.com. • Better than others I have used

    By on

I have two cats & have used sWheat Scoop for 5 years. Others’ reviews complain of odors or scooping problems. I don’t have those problems. I Scoop every day & do a complete change of litter & boxes every 3 weeks. sWheat Scoop has a fresh smell, similar to sawdust and the only problem I have is that it is just as dusty as all the other litters. I thInk the dust is the factor that helps with the scooping. I have an air cleaner near the boxes that helps collect the dust. Minimal tracking.

  • Solid product but a little messy

    By on

I really like sWheat scoop for my cats, because it doesn't have chemicals and is biodegradable. It does a decent job of covering up odors and it clumps pretty well as long as you keep the litter fresh. We have two cats who share a litter box and we clean it twice a day so that works for us. My only issue is that the litter gets everywhere. The grains are the perfect size for getting stuck caught in my cats paws and they track littler all over the apartment. Luckily, there is very little dust so that makes clean up a little easier.

  • The reason I didn't want a cat was because of litter box, this changed my mind

    By on

The reason I was hesitant for many years to get a cat was due to litter box stink. I was really sensitive to it and it completely turned me off of wanting a cat. My wife, however, had her heart set on a cat so we got one (happy wife happy life). We started using this litter after extensive research on my part and it is AMAZING. We can flush it without problems, clumps well, and it really does prevent smells (we do clean it out daily and use a litter box liner) even with it being located in our bathroom and near laundry which we pass by multiple times a day. We used to use the arm and hammer litter box deodorizer but have found with this litter that we don't even need it. • This would be good if...

    By on

...my 16-year-old cat didn’t pee so much. We were trying a new flushable litter that was not as expensive as another type we had been using. Perhaps it is the specific chemistry of his urine, but the clumps seem to be very sticky and soft, and there is no odor control. When my two younger cats use it, the odor is not as bad. The litter box is scooped twice a day so the issue is not infrequent scooping. I would recommend this for young healthy cats but not senior cats with increased urine volume.

  • Worth the switch!

    By on

I had been using a clay-type clumping litter for a long time. Finally, after cleaning the blinds behind the cat boxes, I decided enough was enough. The dust buildup on the blinds was awful. With sWheat Scoop, I'm finding dust at extremely minimal levels and even the room the boxes are in smell fresher. Although it does not clump as solidly as the other brand, I sticking with this product because of the dust factor!

  • Works great but not by itself...

    By on

One of my 3 cats loves this litter. I use a corn-based litter that is fantastic for their 2 large litter boxes they happily share. For him, I also add some of this...otherwise he acts like he will not use his box. Doesn't clump too well or hold up on its own but works fine with a litter that has more clumping quality to it.

I absolutely love this kitty litter! I recommend the Multi-Cat formula even if you only have 1 cat. It clumps better than the other formulas. I even prefer this formula over the premium version for the clumping. My cat also prefers this litter. What I like the most about this littler, is the all natural factor. I don't like the clay litters because I worry about my cat's health and the idea of him breathing in cement like dust.

  • Disappointed

This is the third litter I've tried in the three months I've had my two kitties. I wanted to like it because it's flushable and cheaper than some of the alternatives - so two stars for that at least. BUT This litter is much dustier than the other two I tried (world's best; garfield), my cats always smell like the litter after they leave the box; it tracks all over the bathroom and wood floor; it sticks to the bottom of the litter box, unlike the other two, even when I poured extra (~4 inches) in to try to avoid it happening; it clumps too softly and what doesn't stick to the bottom crumbles in the scoop; and finally, it does not control the odor very well - to be fair this might just be the air This is the third litter I've tried in the three months I've had my two kitties. I'll be glad once the bag runs out and I can go to something different. … more
