Was looking for a dry food with Salmon that had no grains and limited other ingredients and was produced in USA. The switch is taking more time. Big goofy Tabby boy not crazy about this new dry food. (He would love to eat Instinct Turkey canned food for every meal). Mouthy Calico is slowly accepting the gradual switch. Feral kitty who adopted us thinks it's pretty tasty. I'm just going to keep gradually decreasing the amount of the old flavor for the new and hope they'll all come around.

We use to have 3 kitties, 2 Tonkinese, whose coats were as silky as could be. We took in a feral kitty, a calico, whose coat was a bit coarse, especially the grey patches of her white coat. I always figured the calico's coat was coarse due to her being an outside kitty. Years ago, I decided to go to a higher quality cat food and selected Taste of the Wild. I've never looked back. Within a week, the calico's coat began to soften. After a month, the grey patches, along with the rest of her coat, were almost as silky as the Tonk's coats. There was half the amount of doo-doo's in the litter box, even with 3 cats in the house. The vet always comments on how beautiful the cats coats are and what great shape they were in. The 2 Tonks have since gone to kitty heaven, but I still have the beautiful calico, strictly an indoor kitty now, with her silky coat that I attribute the Taste of the Wild great cat food.

Great cat food for price. Both my cats eat and enjoy this food. Good ingredients. I also feed cans of wet food 2 times a day but this dry food is left out for munchies in between and I qould recommend. I have 2 very healthy kitties

I have never had a cat that hasn't liked it. Not all cat owners are aware that cats are obligate carnivores and do not require grains. This is a fantastic grain free dry food that does exactly what I buy it for. It keeps my cats very healthy. It is especially wonderful for my one cat who has skin issues, no flare ups while on this dry food. People tend to over eat junk food, because the carbs are addicting. The same is true for cats. This taste of the wild however, being a health food, is not a food loaded with addicting additives, so they never overeat it. They eat exactly the amount they should, even though I leave it down for them to pick on all day because cats are nibblers by nature. Their main meals are wet food, which they eat 3 times a day, because cats require moisture and canned food is 75% moisture. Their coats, teeth, & eyes all gleam. They are the pictures of health, due solely to feeding a grain free diet :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by LaceLady Want your cats to stay young? USE THIS FOOD!
We had been using the "good" Big Name dry food for years, but two of our older cats began 1# gaining weight and 2# acting sluggish #NOT in their nature#. A friend suggested another grain-free food and we tried it. The two older cats began doing better and losing weight but one of the young cats REFUSED to eat that brand, so we 'shopped around' for a few months. When we found Taste of the Wild we knew we had hit on the right food. 1) Older cats lost down to their 'fighting weight' and acted five years younger. 2) The younger cats slimmed down and gained way TOO much energy #LOL#. 3) Everybody loves the food, but they, overall, actually eat LESS dry food--a friend who is a veterinarian says that it is because they are getting better actual nourishment from less food. NOTE: We do feed small amounts of [really good] canned food morning and evening, but they are even eating less of that food. After several years of using Taste of the Wild dry food, I am convinced that the two older cats are still with us at least partially because of the change in food. I LOVE Taste of the Wild!
