That's why Tiki formulas are grain-free and contain low or zero carbohydrates.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from WOW, disappointed with new formula! I had been feeding my kittys this formula as part of rotational diet due to satisfactory ingredients. Beyond disappointed to see that new formula has sodium selenite and K3. What's next, carageenan? What happened with Tiki Pets? I heard they were bought or merging; maybe this is the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High nutrition - no fillers - best canned food Tiki Cat has an impressive array of moist foods to choose from that are not all fish based. When researching pure, high protein, quality food that does not contain fillers, etc. this food stands out! The first ingredient in the succulent chicken? CHICKEN. The second? Chicken broth. My cats LOVE this food have beautiful coats, never get sick and have lived healthy long lives (one almost 22!) which I believe is in part to this great food. I am a loyal customer of 10+ years and will never waiver from Tiki Cat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for diabetics My cat is 17 and has pancreatitis, diabetes as well as having struggled with struvite crystals, urinary inflammation and battles a recurring upper respiratory issue. All this on top of being old with some back pain and general geriatric attitude. :) So, 18 months ago I was told I HAD to pull him off his formulated raw diet that he LOVED and thrived on ... even went into diabetic remission ... all because of the struvite crystals. Of course the vet says "prescription diet." It's a bunch of Pork byproduct. Garbage. Well, after 18 months of just mediocre health and a dull coat, I spoke with a feline nutritionist and learned that here are other options for him. AND found out the so-called prescription diet was loaded with carbs. Uhmmm. He's a diabetic. I blindly trusted a vet and THIS. Never again. So, she recommended Tikki Cat until I can start doing his food at home. And for my guy who cannot have too much phosphorus due to crystals, most seafood is off of the table. We tried Puka Puka Luau, and within days his coat was back to its shiny, soft, vibrant self. His muscle mass is improving a bit and he just loves the stuff! The only thing is that he is missing a couple of teeth and the shredded bits do sort of fall out BUT I just run the food in the Cuisinart and problem solved. For any diabetic cat, carbs are a no-no. Just because a food is grain free doesn't make it carb-free. And most cat food companies do not post carb content on cans. Tikki puts the glycemic load on the site - which is ZERO - and that is totally amazing. So, thank you. And thank you Chewy for carrying the stuff. Quality of the protein matters, especially for these older guys losing muscle mass. Cats don't need potatoes or peas or non-animal sources of protein! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra dollar. Your cat will thank you. And so will your smaller vet bills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fenicky Cat Approved This food smells great and looks much more edible then other cat can foods. My Fenicky female cat loves it and my male has begun to eat it as well which is a shock because he likes Pate style foods not shredded. I would definitely buy this again and I want to try a couple other flavors. Good quality food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cats love Tiki One of my cats suddenly decided she didn't like seafood anymore so I needed poultry in a hurry. She's happily eating the chicken and the shreds are small enough for any size cat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality product! My 6 month-old cat Jupiter has been eating this since he was 3 months old, mixed with 1/2 of a pate-style kitten food. He absolutely loves this flavor of Tiki Cat and gobbles it up. The quality of the product is superb (although manufactured in Thailand, which is of concern for some people) and it's literally nicely shredded chicken in a can with some chicken stock. I have never experienced any bones in the can, and the meat is consistently nice white meat. Reminds me a lot of canned chicken for human consumption. Overall, very happy that I did my research and discovered this brand! It's not easy to find in stores (even in NYC, where I live) but Chewy makes it easy and affordable to order!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is great quality food - but not for the finicky eater I love this food. I would eat it! My cat was diagnosed with diabetes - and it has 0 carbs. Unfortunately, my cats are used to Fancy Feast - so they liked it at first - but then didn't. I give it 5 stars because it's so healthy and pure - and if your cat will eat it - you are going to have one healthy cat. It's shredded chicken - looks like real chicken. I wish my cats would eat it - if you are looking for a really healthy alternative for your cat - I would reccomend it. Pure - no sticky gravy.
