Well to start off with, our cat Beau has been having some issues with FLUTD and seems to get stressed easily, was in and out of the vet with urinary problems 3-4 times since March, on heavy meds off and on, and we were at our wits end and feeling really bad for him 'cause he's such a wonderful cat. When one of our vets wanted to start him on Prozac, I was desperate to find a more natural alternative, so I put a call into one of our other vets that he's seen before, and she recommended these. They work like a dream! We give him 1 in the morning before we leave for work and it calms him down, and a few more as needed throughout the day, and even is helping him get along with his sister better, Well to start off with, our cat Beau has been having some issues with FLUTD and seems to get stressed easily, was in and out of the vet with urinary problems 3-4 times since March, on heavy meds off and on, and we were at our wits end and feeling really bad for him 'cause he's such a wonderful cat. We give him 1 in the morning before we leave for work and it calms him down, and a few more as needed throughout the day, and even is helping him get along with his sister better, as they've been having some territorial wars; with him coming to and from the vet a lot it was stressing her out too. We've started giving some to her as well when she's anxious. I really can't say enough about Composure, it's only been about a week since we started, but for what we're seeing it seems like Prozac is off the table and he's doing so so much Better, and not as stressed. Highly recommend! … more

  • Works but there is a trick...

    By on

One of my cats has aggression tendencies towards my other cats and this works to calm her down. The chew smells like a multi-vitamin and my cat won't eat it unless I trick her. She does not like it smashed in canned food either. SOOO.. I give her a normal cat treat first, then another normal treat and now that she is on a roll and "trusting" me, I give her the Composure pill and she eats it right up. I always break the standard size chew in half...the normal size is too large. Works like a charm. It works fast, and in about 5 minutes and she is noticeably calmer. It lasts for about an hour or two at most. She is also on Amitryptyline from the Vet and mixing these meds has been approved.

  • my anxious cat Henry

    By on

This poor guy was a 14 mo. old very friendly kitten until I moved out of state. When my furniture arvd by a moving co., he was his usual happy self. Now, 10 yrs later, he still hides when a stranger comes into the house. Other than my sister, he runs from everyone. I believe the nasty driver abused him, but have no proof. Henry ate the snacks immediately, but turns away from them now (as cats do). I really hoped he would respond. Felaway is over my budget, but will try anything to help him. He is about 13 now and uses food as a "feel good remedy", just like humans do. Not sure anymore what "humans" really means!

  • Picky cat loves them!

My cat developed anxiety after his last vet visit - or perhaps it was there the whole time and just got worse? I thought these treats would take the edge off, but I was worried since he doesn't usually care for treats. I got them and right away he ate them happily. Now I can't be sure if it's the treats or not but after a while he does become calmer. It does not change his regular personality or activities - and as far as I can tell there are no other side effects. I will keep using them until I can prove otherwise and will order again. Very happy with this purchase!

  • He's still a nutcase

    By on

So my cat Sirius is a feisty lil sour patch kid and sometimes bullies my other two older cats. So I figured I'd give this a try to maybe calm him down. He ate them well at first but then got bored and stopped eating them. He's still a nut and a bully when hungry. I didn't see much change but hey this IS a cat we are talking about here.

  • Kitty Loves Composure Treats

    By on

These treats were recommended by my vet to help calm down the anxiety in my 11 yr old cat. They were recommended after we lost his litter mate one month ago, and my kitty was searching around the house for his sister who is now in kitty heaven. We must say that they work very well. • They work, plain and simple

I have an 8 year old male who recently began bullying my two girl cats... I started off with feliway diffusers, which helped and a calming collar, which didn't. I saw these and figured, hey for 7 bucks why not try them. He loves them which is great and on the days I forget to give them to him, I notice more anxiousness and aggressiveness from him. The treats take that edge off. Love them and the price is awesome!

  • Miracle Cure!

    By on

We have 6 cats and my male took an instant dislike to a stray that showed up one below zero winter night. We "dealt" with the attacks on her for months until I couldn't stand the constant hissing and fighting. Petey gets these treats and it calms him 80%.... the liquid is what my Lillie gets and she is like a new cat! You can now handle her and cuddle with her and she tolerates her brother now. Only occasional tiffs. Highly recommend this. Lillie loves the liquid.... Petey wants the "treats"! Also.... STOPPED the inappropriate pee problems from them.

  • Mixed Feelings

    By on

My older cat has just discovered treats. She gets super amped when I shake a bag of treats and makes her jaw wiggle a lot to meow really excitedly. She prefers the hairlball crunchy treats, but is down to munch on some anti-anxiety nummers. The younger cat just cannot get excited about these. She reves up her excitment when she hears the bag and then gives me a sorrowful look once she sniffs these ones. OF COURSE, the older ones sniffs out the abandoned treat. So, I guess win win?

  • Unsuccessful

I bought these as a first step toward calming down my cat. She's a bully to the other cat in the house. After a couple weeks of giving her these daily I see no difference in her aggressive behavior. She likes them, but they don't have the desired behavioral effect.
