Rated 5 out of 5 by Gigi Surprise! My cat LOVES these kidney support treats!
My cat Gigi has turned away from every healthy treat I've offered over 15 years. Turns out she LOVES these treats. I cut each treat into four pieces which seems just the right size to chew. Gigi seems to like the chewiness, which in fact makes her actually chew the treat rather than just swallowing it whole and scarfing everything down in .5 seconds! The whole thing was too big and chewey for her to manage, and when I tried cutting it into like 5-6 small pieces, they got stuck on her tongue. It took awhile for Gigi to get them off and swallowed, and she seemed distressed. I don't think they smell like urine...I think they smell more like a bag of vitamin B supplements.
Since starting on these and special kidney care food, Gigi has a bit of a bounce in her step and she is more playful. So I'm guessing she's feeling better.
After reading all the other reviews here on chewey.com before buying, I surmised that about 50% of cats seemed to like them. The major complaints were the smell and that they are chewey. Well, Gigi likes both attributes, so there you go. Every cat is different. The 100% guaranteed returns policy for any reason for a year with free shipping made it a simple decision to give these VetriSCIENCE Renal Essentials Feline treats a try. Gigi and I are happy we did!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lici My kidney-challenged cats eat these! What more could you want?
I had to put both of my cats on a kidney-friendly diet because they have CKD. I was relieved to find that they actually like these treats (and one of them is a REALLY finicky eater.) Thanks for making this product. One thing to know, though, is that the treats (which are fish-shaped) are pretty big. A very small cat or one with few teeth might need to have the treats cut in half.

My cat really enjoys getting these treats. I put two in her bobble toy and she's anxious to work to get them out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MVMARS Excellend Product - Liquid would be better...
I utilized this for my persian who was diagnosed with kidney failure at age 8. He lived until the age of 18, with no additional intervention, fluids, or change in diet. Enough said. I'm utilizing it now for another senior persian with early stage kidney failure. The only issue is that she hates the taste/smell and even avoids food to which it is added. A liquid or powder, with no additional flavors would be wonderful. The strong smell/taste of this and the pills is a no-go for her or I would give this product a 5 star.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kitten Our Lil' Bit loves them after his meds!
Hugo, who is only 4 but already battling kidney problems, has been on Liqui-Tinic and Pred for the past couple months, and these treats are now a regular part of his daily medication ritual. I break the peices into three smaller bits and he gobbles them right up and gives me face bumps in thanks. Our Vet thinks they, in conjunction with a renal diet, are helping slow Hugo's kidney failure rate. I'm so pleased and so is he.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WillowsMommy Willow doing okay so far, believe these are helping!
To be honest my other two cats are more into these than the one than needs them but regardless I get 3 into her every day, combined with her kd food and fluids at home my Willow seems to be doing okay and even gaining some weight back. Willing to try anything and I know vitamins especially b vitamins can help make a difference. Will continue to use these, anything to help!
