Rated 4 out of 5 by Katezoo The cat really likes them
I have a cat on steroids and our vet suggested giving him supplements to prevent further illness. He does like the treats, but the first time I gave him a 'bite sized' treat whole he choked and I had to pull it out. Since that time I've twisted them apart into smaller size, but as dense as they are he's still choked on it once or twice when I didn't shred it small enough. He is a very small cat, but I'm not sure what cat this would be bite-sized for!
He likes them, they're very clean with minimal additives, so I will continue to give them to him. Just wish they were smaller!

My cats prefer these treats to the Vetoquinol Enisyl-F Lysine Cat Treats. I was originally prescribed those lysine treats by my vet to use as a supplement. The Vetoquinol treats are smaller but they had a tendency to get harder, after which my cats weren't as interested in them. The zip lock part of the Vetoquinol bag would always break.
These Vetri treats are bigger and softer, and I've had no issues with the packaging!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ProudCatMommy Best Lysine Supplement for Cats with URI's!
I adopted to little boys ten years ago. Both had bad cases of Upper Respiratory infections, better known as the herpes virus for cats. one expressed it via a runny eye. The other had a bad congestion. They were both sneezing nonstop. The vet gave them antibiotics which helped and stopped the sneezing. The other symptoms, however, I was told would be with them for life. Fast forward ten years and one with the runny eye was getting it so bad it was hard to keep his eye open. The second cat developed what they call cat asthma. The asthma was controlled with antihistamine, inhaler as needed, and one urgent dose of prednisone which I weened him off of as soon as I could to avoid the side effects. I finally stumbled upon Lysine. I have tried the TomKat powder form which is hard to control when you feed them dry food and doesn't seem to make much of a difference. A little bit of a difference but not like these cat chews did. THANK YOU, Petri-Science. Both my cats, including my picky eater, never turned down the chews. They were able to eat both so I recommend the powder above if the chews don't work for you. For my cats, these chews had an immediate and noticeable impact. The runny eye cleared up completely and my little baby can now see clearly through both his eyes. They both have shinier coats and the congestion was helped a little. That never goes aways entirely but I could see an improvement in both my cats. I highly recommend this product. Especially, if your little ones have similar conditions to mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jazzy517 Only Lysine my cat will take
These are the only Lysine treats my cat will eat willingly and actually seems to enjoy! I have tried powders, pastes, gels, and other chewy treats, but he would NEVER take them. These are a little bit more costly, but you get a lot in the bag and the cat actually takes them. I have also noticed his feline herpes has greatly improved. He always had problems with crusty nose and watery eye and now his nose is healthy looking and his eye isnt weepy or watery. I recommend breaking them in half or into 3 pieces because they are a little on the bigger side and have a hard-ish chewy outside, so not the easiest to eat in one piece for a cat. I highly recommend this product to others especially if you have a cat with feline herpes!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rora Good supplement... But not for Picky kitties!
The first thing I noticed when I opened the package is that it smells terrible! One of my cats seems to like them just fine and it has helped his immune system. The other cat (the Picky eater) ate one then promptly refused to go within a half a foot of them at all after that.

My picky ragdoll won't eat these, but my little shelter rescue cat does, with gusto. I like the convenience of this product, I wish my ragdoll would eat them, he is the one who is symptomatic (goopy eyes).
