  • Works! But must like the smell of cloves

    By on

Listen, there are worst things to smell like. This spray happens to smell like cloves which reminds me of my grandfather so I like it. I sprayed down the couches, the dogs' beds and the actual dogs before anytime we head out for an adventure. They haven't had a tick on them since! Granted, I've had a few ticks on the wall or the rug but not on my dogs! So this spray is a win. The smell dies down after a day or two so just hang in there...it's definitely worth it.

  • Works but needs frequent replenishment

I have a large buff colored Afghan hound so ticks show up easily. I live on the coast of Maine with a very high density population of deer ticks. My dog runs free in the woods around the house. I use a monthly liquid topical for tick & Flea control ( a generic Frontline plus) but over the past couple of years it doesn't work as well. I have been using this Vet's Best spray primarily as a repellent as opposed to 20% deet. It has a pleasant odor and the dog doesn't seem to mind it. I spray it on his chest underside and legs. This spray is not perfect but has cut down the number of ticks dramatically ( from about 25 a day to about 5). Its affect doesn't last long, perhaps 2 hrs. before it needs I have a large buff colored Afghan hound so ticks show up easily. • Super happy wife

I hate to say this but I figured its good information to share. We recently helped out a family in need and sadly when they moved in to one of rent homes the beds they brought with them, I had noticed small bugs. I did some research and freaked out cause they were bedbugs. So not only does this product kill fleas and ticks it also kills bedbugs on contact. We sprayed the kids beds every other night and noticed less and less. I am so glad I invested in this product.

  • LOVE this stuff

I use this everywhere. For several years this has been my go to product. I live in the woods and needed an alternative to the deet products we must use...this is the only thing that worked. I use it on myself as well. I cant think of anything i dont like about it. I dont mind the smell either.

  • Didn't work

    By on

With so many positive reviews, I thought I'd give it a try. I found a live tic and sprayed the product directly on it. There was no effect, so I spayed it again. It continued to walk another 4 feet unimpaired after which, I picked it up and disposed of it.

  • Keep this in your arsenal.

It definitely works, but, and this is a big one, you have to get it on the skin, not just the hair surface, then it will repel, not kill. Great price, non-toxic, both cats and dog tolerated it well. It's a worthwhile addition to your flea fighting battle. Smell, it's okay but smell is quite subjective. Animals didn't mind it. When I sprayed lightly on furniture, I liked to have a bit of ventilation. Best for me was flea combing pets and applying wipes directly to visible flea. Kills em.

  • LOVE THIS PRODUCT

Where I live the ticks are real bad from the first warm day and snow just begins to melt right up till it snows again. I have 2 kids and 3 dogs who love to be outside ALL the time, so I wanted so protect them from getting any ticks on them. Especially bringing them in where we have an indoor cat and a guniea pig. I hate to use any chemicals on my kids or dogs if preventable. So I was excited to try this product. Have used it for about a month now and absolutely LOVE it!! I spray my kids shoes and clothes and my dogs real quick before they go out and haven't seen a tick on them yet. The scent is not to strong either which my kids and husband really like. Highly recommend this product.

We just moved to Texas with 5 dogs and they all got fleas. We used this product for bedding, carpet, furniture and in the dogs. Worked very well. We are using this in conjunction with k9 advantage and we don't have any fleas.
