Rated 1 out of 5 by New Formula Is Not Good Vet's Best Hairball tablets newest formula is very disappointing again. My cats do not like these but LOVED the old tablets. I still have the good bottle and compared the ingredients. This is also the second time the ingredients were changed. The new formula is missing the dried chicken and brewer's yeast which was in the good tablets. The current tablets now include a filler of cellulose and "foreign ingredients" which is of some concern. I wish they would just return to the old tablets and there would be many happy cats and pet owners. October 28, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Used to be great, but cats won't eat new bottle! I've been giving these treats to my two cats every day for the last 3 years. I've noticed some consistency issues in the past, where some bottles have softer treats and others are so hard that I have trouble breaking them up with my fingers. However, through all of this, my cats have always still loved to eat these every morning, and they seem to have helped with hairball control. Not so with the bottle that I received in my auto ship and opened today. I was initially excited to see that the treats were a little thinner, which made them much easier to break apart. But neither of my cats would eat them. They both sniffed and walked away. My male cat even checked out his sister's treat and deemed it inedible before giving up. This was previously a great product, and hopefully they will fix whatever the issue is and it will be worth the money again. Until then, I'll be requesting a refund and exploring other hairball control options. July 19, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great stuff til the change My cats have been loving this stuff for 2 years, until the last bottle we bought. Now they wont touch the pills. Why did you change it?! If it aint broke, dont fix it!! Now i have to go find something else! October 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cat approved! I've been using this product for a while, both the old formula and this new formula. I noticed that many reviewers mentioned that their cats would not touch the new tablets. I was concerned that would be the case for my cats as well, but nope. Both of my cats eat the new tablets like candy! Brushing/combing to remove loose hair is still the best prevention, but I believe that these tablets are among the best petroleum-free hairball supplements available. The only reason why I'm not giving the product 5 Stars is because it's tough to objectively determine efficacy. They seem to help with hairballs, but I can't prove it with data (either the company's or my own). But the ingredients certainly aren't harmful so at the very least, it's a nice treat that my cats enjoy. September 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great, even after change I have been giving these to my Maine Coon for years. I was worried about the product change I read about, but my cat was fine with it. She still gobbles them up, and they are healthy and natural which is awesome. October 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My cats love it. This works really well for constipation and hairball relief. There is not mess. It is just like giving my cats a treat. They come running when they here the rattle of the bottle. October 4, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by A Recent Bad Batch PLEASE READ: CALL CHEWY AND THE MANUFACTURER (Consumer Affairs dept, 1 800-272-6336) if your cat(s) all of a sudden won't eat Vet's Best Hairball Relief Digestive Aid for cats. My 4 cats loved these supplements so much that they're called "treats" in our house. They'd come running when I'd say, "who wants a treat?" or shake the bottle. The last order I rec'd are different. They look different and my cats won't eat them. I called Chewy and they gave me a refund for the bottles I bought. I also called the phone number on the bottle and they said others have called to say the same thing, that all of a sudden their cats won't eat them. They are looking into this and maybe had a batch omitting something? They are also going to send me a complimentary bottle when another batch is ready in return for feedback. They also offered to reimburse me for the bottles I had but I told them Chewy has already done so. If they find out the problem or go back to the original recipe they will get FIVE stars from me! These work great and have the best ingredients I've found in a Hairball Relief supplement. June 9, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Product is not the same quality. My cat used to enjoy these but the quality recently is worse. I'm not sure he ever had hairball issues, but now that he's stopped eating them, he's become very constipated. Is there an another product in tablet form that I can try before he becomes very sick?
