My cats weren't as eager to eat this as they were their old food. Some of it did get thrown away and I would just give them something else. I gave it 4 stars because the ingredients are good for them and they did eat most of it when it was something new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Christine Good Diet for Kidneys
If your kitty is older with kidneys starting to fail, this is one of the few foods that does not have chicken or turkey in it. Processed chicken or turkey is not good (home cooked okay). Kitty needs less salt and potassium. Alternative Vet said "fish and beef" only.
I buy this and one other (different brand w/venison).
Excellent, consistent quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Aredspirit 100 times better for my cats than dry food!
My young cat (age 4), got obese and diabetic on expensive dry foods of every type... The Vet recommended that we switch to Wellness canned foods, Kitty Boy was only on Insulin for 3 weeks! He's still losing weight (slowly), and has gained energy! I wish I had known, then he never would have been ill. Another important thing to note; the litter box doesn't stink now! I have two cats and they both like this flavor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tina Another great Wellness product
I've been feeding Wellness canned cat food to our 3 cats for a few years now. I like the quality ingredients in all the canned Wellness cat food. My best little buddy was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and I was told he has a good prognosis if he undergoes chemo. So far he is doing great in tolerating the chemo and showing positive signs! However, due to the cancer and the chemo, he's becoming a bit anemic, so the vet suggested he get more beef in his diet for the iron content. I usually buy four cases, four different flavors. I was feeding Salmon & Turkey, but switched that one for the Salmon & Beef. All 3 cats are loving this flavor!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Toby12 My cats did not like this.
My cats did not tolerate the beef in the food. They either vomited or it gave them diarrhea. The love the other flavors though. I will not buy any cat food with beef.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MoniMoon My Kitten Really Likes This :D
My kitten really likes beef and while he does like fish, salmon isn't his favorite. I was worried to try this, but he LOVED it. I stopped in a store and was reading the backs of the cans, and this was the only Complete Health formula that AAFCO found was okay for adult maintenance and kitten growth, so I was super excited that chewy had it available. It's much cheaper. I typically feed the CORE line from Wellness but I was looking to add some variety and I was very pleasantly surprised by this. I will continue to feed this formula and find the others when he's older :D

by Louiethecat Wellness Beef and Salmon saved my cat's life
My 10 year old cat, Louie, has inflammatory bowel disease. Wellness Beef and Salmon literally saved his life. This is the only canned food his damaged intestines can tolerate. The grainfree ingredients are high quality and easily digestible. I like the fact that there is no pea protein. Many cats have trouble digesting peas. After exploratory surgery in 2009, the vets had given up on him. He'd lost so much weight. After beginning Wellness Beef and Salmon, Louie's longstanding diarrhea cleared up. He has gained weight and plays like a kitten again. Our vet calls it a miracle.
