My cat is picky but he has a sensitive stomach so I try to find more natural foods. This is definitely more natural but most animals love there protein & I can tell that there's more brown rice & sweet potatoes in this food than protein. It's deceiving because when you read the label of ingredients chicken, salmon, & trout are the first ingredients listed but look at all the other fillers & you realize quickly there are more carbs than protein. My cat will only eat it right now if I put a little bit of this cat food & mix it in with some of his other cat foods. I probably should have gotten a small amount but it was only a little bit more expensive for about 3x as much can food. I learned my lesson but if you decide to buy this for your cat, there's a good chance you'll be disappointed with the quality. It lacks the moisture of most wet cat foods. Every time I go to fill up my cats wet cat food dish, I feel like I'm feeding mashed potatoes because of the look of the cat food.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LoveMyRomeo A Bit Disappointing
I didn't realize until I bought this, that it isn't the grain free ones like I usually buy from Wellness: I think the fact that it is the same price made me think it was grain free still (since grain free usually costs more) but I see now there are a couple of flavors that are not grain free that look pretty much identical just without the little yellow "grain free" label . Separate from that, my cats just don't like this flavor as much. They'll pick at it but don't nearly enjoy it like the other (g.f.) flavors. It also isn't as moist as the other flavors so it leaves behind a lot of residue in their dishes. Hopefully we'll make it through the case without them completely snubbing it - but I personally won't be buying this flavor again.

First Wellness brand is number 1 in my opinion. My cats have sensitive tummy's and they have no issue gobbling up this food. I feed the dry to my pup and she loves it too!!

We have bought wellness canned cat food for years. All of our cats were stray or lost. Most were thin and malnourished. They all look good and are healthy now. One of our cats is 20 yrs. old, two are 10 yrs. old and one 3 yrs.
Their favorites are Chicken and Herring, Turkey and Salmon, Chicken, Turkey and we just added the Salmon and Trout. So far, 2 of the kitties liked it and 2 didn't but those two take time with new foods. We rotate through the different flavors and also have a small small amount of Wellness dry food offered during the day.
Will continue to buy Wellness. Our cats vet approved when I took in the cans for her to read the label of ingredients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by catrescuelady16years 5 cats like this better than Core fish flavor
I feed my 5 cats different flavors of Wellness canned, and prefer the ones that are "grainfree" because grains aren't good for cats' health. While this flavor does have a little grain in it, it is a healthier grain, oats. One of my rescued cats is really finicky and gradually learning to like Wellness instead of the junk she was probably eating before. She prefers fish, especially salmon, so loves this Wellness salmon and trout flavor. I give my 5 cats Wellness Core grainfree fish flavor sometimes, but they aren't as crazy about that flavor as they are the salmon and trout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SarahL Wellness cat food
My cats have been on the Wellness diet all of their lives (approaching 10 years now) and they are extremely healthy and their coats are shiny (even the vet commented on this aspect)! I've had cats before with different diets and more vet visits. I don't know if it's because of the food they're eating that we have avoided the vet or if it's because I have healthier cats in general. I will say that this food is quite expensive, and I'm very grateful that Chewy.com makes it somewhat affordable. My two cats split a 5.5 ounce can each morning and I supplement with the dry.
