5.5-oz, case of 24
Weruva is a line of luxurious natural and grain-free pet foods. Made in a human food facility, they gathered the best ingredients from around the world to make the best food for your best friend - for life. The factory operates at international human food processing standards, including that of the super-strict British Retail Consortium (BRC), and the pet food processing must pass BRC scrutiny.
A terrific pacific treat, made with red meat tuna and shirasu. Shirasu are baby anchovies. Translated as “white child” or “white small” perhaps the smallest fish available on the market, shirasu have become a traditional part of the Japanese diet. Like many people throughout the world eat cheese with their wine, many Japanese consume shirasu with their sake.

When my cat got sick with hyperthyroid, i went through different can food brands and flavors. He was not interested in any of them. Finally I found Weruva Asian Fusion with Tuna & Shirasu Grain-Free Canned Cat Food. He LOVED IT. I am so glad, because he takes his medication with wet food.

Well it seems one cat likes this and the other one snubs his nose to it. That is the only reason I give it 3 stars. My advice is buy a couple of cans first before for a taste test.
Cats LOVE it!

I switched to Weruva foods exclusively for my 2 cats because one is putting on weight and I was able to calculate that Weruva has some of the highest protein percentages per can in their foods. I bought this flavor on impulse, and the cats completely love it. It's a nice addition to the regular rotation of Weruva cans, and I'm happy knowing that they are eating real meat, with no grains and very few carbs.

I have a diabetic cat who needs to be on a completely natural diet. I've been experimenting with very low carbohydrate cat foods and have discovered Weruva. Weruva contains about 4 carbs per serving (opposed to double digits with all the ones you can buy from Petsmart/Petco without a prescription).
His blood sugar is going down!!! Also, since I have several other cats and it is impossible to get them all to eat at only their own bowl, I needed a better solution than small 3 oz. cans that are very expensive (Hill's Prescription).

Now keep in mind, my cat is a bit pickier than most. As a human, I didn't care for the smell of this can food, it also didn't look like so many of the others I've gotten (you could see the chicken). My girls, even the not so picky one would eat a little, and leave the rest. Not ever finishing the whole can (3oz cans). I tried this on a whim to give them something different and they vote not again.
healthy and my cats love it

I have three cats and finding a canned food that they all like has been extremely challenging. This is one food that they are all enthusiastic about. It's also a pretty solid food, one that isn't watery. My only complaint is that the can is very hard to open, much harder than the Kats in the Kitchen cans.
This can't possiblty be cat food

I picked this up as an emergency replacement until I could get to my pet place, I opened it up and though WHAT this MUS be a human type canned fish I has to repetitive read the label over an over in sheer disbelief, it looked exactly like mackerel or sardines you get for humans which I tried for the first time in my 1/2 century life about 6 months ago which I ended up giving my coyote pack I care for (which is normal for those of us living in SERIOUSLY Rural desert areas) I think the look on my hungry cats face said it all she was EXCUSE ME did you forget you were feeding ME! I sat there inspecting these huge palm size pieces of human quality fish, she finally brought me back to reality with I picked this up as an emergency replacement until I could get to my pet place, I opened it up and though WHAT this MUS be a human type canned fish I has to repetitive read the label over an over in sheer disbelief, it looked exactly like mackerel or sardines you get for humans which I tried for the first time in my 1/2 century life about 6 months ago which I ended up giving my coyote pack I care for (which is normal for those of us living in SERIOUSLY Rural desert areas) I think the look on my hungry cats face said it all she was EXCUSE ME did you forget you were feeding ME! I sat there inspecting these huge palm size pieces of human quality fish, she finally brought me back to reality with a well deserved "I'm sorry I thought your leg was a scratching post" shock...Truth be told I just opened up and inspected another can while she literally got breathless eating it so quickly, in the same fashion I have only seen when they get holiday human food treats. AND she ate the ENTIRE other can, which I wasn't finished inspecting either. BUT that isn't all I found, there were pieces of poultry that are EXACTLY like what I give them on the holidays, identifiable pieces, which is not even possible in a chicken Mc-nugget or patty. I will deny this next statement, and swear that I did NOT write this review at all, if you have cats you know they have Mad computer skills, especially when changing things on your computer, that normally takes us humans 6 plus fingers simultaneously, to achieve, like screen resolution or entire power point presentations. That disclaimer in place: I tasted it, WHAT curiosity is a two way street when you are a cat lover SO..While I don't condone or recommend eating it, but it was exactly like those "for human consumption" sardines I tried, except, this was kind of better...ACK! I read a review that mentioned the jelly like substance in fine French cuisine its refereed to as aspic, and its desired and tasty, unlike the mushier blended, unrecognizable. cheap, pate consistency of most wet cat foods, instead this is a Fine French Feline Feast version. There are canned high quality gourmet foods, made or humans, that I would NEVER touch let alone try, for example Surströmming, I would GLADLY take this cat food instead, without a second thought, and with the same fixing YUMMY..something I would no doubt enjoy and eat many times. If you think about some of the foods eaten around the world, this is on the gourmet human side of th....OMG I am way off topic and have ended up in the twilight review zone so um yeah Great cat food… more
In general, this product is good but...

I was buying this product for many years from PetFlow.com and my cats loved it. Recently I bought a 24-can box and was surprised to see that none of my 3 indoor cats wants to eat it. I put it out for the 2 homeless cats I am taking care of on my deck, and they also refused to eat it. I cannot say anything about the taste, but the look of the food changed. It became very dark, much darker than it used to be. So I got stuck with this food and had no choice but give it away to raccoons, which is too costly though.
But I hope the manufacturer will fix this problem and it will be good again.
