  • My cat is nuts about these treats!

    By on

My grumpy 17 yr-old cat loves these treats so much that he comes and sits in the kitchen and waits for me to notice him and then cries until he gets some of these.

  • Great treat, pure fish

Having a rather finicky prince I raised (finicky is a bit of an understatement for my spoiled brat), I tried many, many different treats. I rescued Reese in July of 2013, & from day 1, he for whatever reason, just would not accept crunchy treats from me. Now, if his vet gives him a crunchy treat, he gladly takes it from her, but not from daddy, not uh. So, I have tried him on many different types. Wanting to keep him on a complete grain free, protein packed diet since the day I got him (understandably the shelter was feeding him Purina Kitten Chow when I got him at 5 weeks old), I tried many treats, even breaking my rule & trying to see if he would eat the typical junk food treats, like Whiskas Having a rather finicky prince I raised (finicky is a bit of an understatement for my spoiled brat), I tried many, many different treats. Now, if his vet gives him a crunchy treat, he gladly takes it from her, but not from daddy, not uh. So, I have tried him on many different types. Wanting to keep him on a complete grain free, protein packed diet since the day I got him (understandably the shelter was feeding him Purina Kitten Chow when I got him at 5 weeks old), I tried many treats, even breaking my rule & trying to see if he would eat the typical junk food treats, like Whiskas Temptations, or Pounce soft treats, these are like candy for cats, because of all the processed junk in them, but, he refused to touch them. I even tried things like pure Salmon jerky style treats, but again, he wouldn't touch them. I then realized, many of the treats he refused, may have been because he was teething, & starting to lose his baby teeth. Once I realized this, & began giving him softer pieces of these freeze dried treats, now, he won't eat anything else. If they aren't freeze dried, he will rarely ever touch them. Nice thing about these Weruva treats, & ALL Weruva products, is they contain absolutely not junk. No fillers. Nothing. They use absolutely the best ingredients in everything they make. These treats are small, square cut pieces of whitefish fillet, that are very, very easy to break into smaller pieces, or crumble into a wet food topper. This is one of the only treats he will eat, & I am glad, because they are extremely good for him, having 76% protein per serving. Cats are pure carnivores by nature, & you can't get much better than feeding them pure fish. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone with either a finicky cat, or, even a kitten who may be teething. They are extremely nutritious, & a great addition to any grain free diet. I also recommend checking out the Weruva wet food. My local pet store owner had the privilege of getting to tour the Weruva plant where they make these foods & treats, & everything is done in a human food grade facility. Very high standards, & it certainly shows. Reese has had nothing but Weruva products, as well as Taste of the Wild dry food, for nearly his entire 3 .5yrs of life, & he looks as healthy as you'd expect. Lean, muscular, extremely active (way more energy than I got, he wants to play constantly lol), & his fur is so soft & silky, you'd swear you were petting a chinchilla. If you are looking to have any of your pets on a grain free, high protein diet, Weruva is absolutely the way to go. Absolutely worth the price. The way I see it, if I wouldn't put it in my body, or if I wouldn't want to eat it, he shouldn't have to eat it. Gotta take care of our pets, just as if we are taking care of our own bodies, or our own kids. They will love you for it in the long run, with years of healthy, lovable affection & companionship. … more

  • My cats love these

    By on

My cats love these treats in both flavors, whitefish and chicken. They stand in front of the "cat food cupboard" and try to break in now!

  • My dog loves the taste.

I thought the container would have been larger for the money, but my dog does like the treats. I would probably buy again.

  • A magnetic treat that works as a toy!

    By on Top 25 Contributor

Unlike some other treats, this treat is a little harder and wonderful for our cats to chew on it for a long time. Also, since it keeps its shape well, I can put it inside an empty plastic bottle for our cats to hunt for it, or just throw it onto the floor like a mouse toy. Our cats chase it, roll it, carry it around in their mouth, and drop it again to play with it. It truly satisfies their hunting instincts and they LOVE hunting for it as they get to eat it at the end like a piece of animal It's pure fish and contains no harmful additives. It's the best cat treat ever!

  • Not sure what I was expecting, but...

    By on

It's a can of cubed fish that's freeze-dried so it gives them a Styrofoam texture that my cats don't like at all. They even refuse to eat their food if I crumble it on top or moisten it some.
