Feeding Instructions

Feed according to the age, size and activity of your cat. If fed alone, feed 1 oz for each lb of bodyweight daily, best fed twice a day. Your cat should have access to clean, fresh water. Refrigerate after opening.

Transition Instructions

Weruva always recommends switching your cat or dog's diet slowly and to adjust according to your pet's digestive stability. Typically, a 6 day transition suites most pet's needs. We recommend feeding a mix of 25% Weruva & 75% of the previous food for the first 2 days. For the next 2 days, feed 50% Weruva & 50% of the previous diet. Days 5 & 6, Feed 75% Weruva with 25% of the previous diet. Your pet should be fully adjusted to an exclusive high-quality Weruva diet thereafter.

  • Highly recommend for older cats

    By on

My cat is about 14, has bad teeth and a hard time eating and keeping foods down. Been trying out different foods to see what she can eat, and this is by far the best. She loves the taste, even eats the meat right away (after licking the gravy, of course) rather than letting it sit for hours before deciding to eat the meat. Other foods she would reject eating the meat; this is tender enough she loves it. She's feeling a lot better, even grooming herself again.

  • ok but would like the chunks/shreds more minced

    By on

they love the sauce but I have to try to break up the shreds and big pieces. they eat around them. they do not like pate, but like a more minced texture, not a kibble but more chopped up than this. I chop up with the edge of the spoon in their dishes but the still find shreds that they leave. I will continue this task for now unless I can find a quality chicken that is done better.

  • Cat loved it but had poo issues

Pros: Looks like edible food; Cat LOVED it Cons: Low calorie, high cost, Requires mixing manually to break down some pieces (see picture below, there was a HUGE chunk of chicken in one of the cans, my cat will lick around it), Caused diarrhea :( My cat really loved this food and would meow for it. He's a picky eater and it's been a journey getting him off of dry food. He stops eating a certain brand/flavor in 10 days and wants something new. While this is an expensive product, I was happy to purchase it for my fur baby as long he was happy. Unfortunately it led to loose stools, maybe I didn't transition him well or he has chicken intolerance. Regardless, I don't think that's the fault of Pros: Looks like edible food; Cat LOVED it Cons: Low calorie, high cost, Requires mixing manually to break down some pieces (see picture below, there was a HUGE chunk of chicken in one of the cans, my cat will lick around it), Caused diarrhea :( My cat really loved this food and would meow for it. The only downside though is that it does require some mixing. Which isn't a big deal, but it means you can't just dump the contents out and walk away. My cat usually only eats pate but for some reason really liked this. If the pieces are too large he licks them and leave them on the plate. But it's good to know it has real chicken! P.S. props to Chewy for helping me with returning the case even though I used it. Awesome service. … more

  • Our cats cannot get enough of this!

    By on

We were pleasantly surprised to see what's in the can when we opened it for the very first time. The chicken are just like what we eat in shredded form with mouth-watering gelee. Our cats have been obsessed to this ever since. We are very happy with the quality of this canned food.

  • Like homemade

This cat food is wonderful. Real bits of chicken in a gravey that smells good and looks great. The cats run over top of each other to get it. The gravey also makes it easy to hide medicine, which is something that just makes it a plus. The high liquid content also makes it good for those cats that aren't big water drinkers but still need the hydration. I have also had the most excellent experiences with customer service with Chewy EVERY time I have had problems with what I ordered either through ordering mistakes or problems with my cats not liking the food chewy has addressed my issues and left me completely satisfied with their service. Great business ethics!

  • It’s a win!

    By on

The cats love it and I love the ingredients. I’m definitely making the switch from prescription c/d. It’s low in phosphorus and high in moisture content- but unlike the c/d, it’s actually seemed to sustain their appetite. I’m happy with it!

My three cats love this food over all others. It truly looks just like shredded chicken and they act as though they cannot get enough. Have turned their nose up to other premium foods to prefer this one.

  • On the fence

Personally I'm not a big fan of this flavor but my cats seem to love it. It is their current favorite, and we have been trying A LOT of brands and flavors lately. Almost every can has this nasty jelly-like substance on top that I have to scrape off, and the food at the bottom of the can is brownish (which I also have to scrape off). But, my cats don't seem to mind and it doesn't seem to be making them sick.

  • Picky eater approved

I got this for one of my cats. She's super picky especially with textures but this is the perfect consistency. A good amount of sauce but not too much either.

  • They can't get enough!

I've never seen kittens freak out over a food like this before. Mine are picky eaters and this seems to be their favorite flavor.
