Feeding Instructions

Feed according to the age, size and activity of your cat. If fed alone, feed 1 oz for each lb of bodyweight daily, best fed twice a day. Your cat should have access to clean, fresh water. Refrigerate after opening.

Transition Instructions

Weruva always recommends switching your cat or dog's diet slowly and to adjust according to your pet's digestive stability. Typically, a 6 day transition suites most pet's needs. We recommend feeding a mix of 25% Weruva & 75% of the previous food for the first 2 days. For the next 2 days, feed 50% Weruva & 50% of the previous diet. Days 5 & 6, Feed 75% Weruva with 25% of the previous diet. Your pet should be fully adjusted to an exclusive high-quality Weruva diet thereafter.

  • Chunks of deliousness

This is a gravy and chunky food with even some bones. Very much like eating real food for cats. Mine purr and get excited because it mimics the wild. They only get the best. They also get raw food. They love this and do go wild.

  • My kitten's favorite wet food

    By on

It's soft and gelatinous with lots meat bits and big chunks of a small fish in it (sardines?). There are lots of bones and I did find a small, hard fish eye in it. Some people have said that the fish bits are too large for their cats, and I agree that they are pretty large, but my 4 month old doesn't mind taking multiple bites. This beats out the other flavors of Cats in the Kitchen, Nulo pate, and Wellness Pate.

  • Dented cans

    By on

I realize that when cans are packed together it is hard to see dents, but it seems with every Weruva order there are dented cans. I dont see this with Fancy Feast.

  • Name is deceiving and the fish chunks are way too big

    By on

My cats mostly eat Tiki Cat foods, but for a couple months my budget was tight and I fed them this along with a couple other Weruva flavors. In short, I would not recommend this product. First off, this is not just salmon, it's salmon, tuna, sardine, and mackerel. Secondly, some of the sardines and mackerel whole chunks are simply way too big. I have two indiscriminating exotic cats and both of them could not always chew up these huge chunks. Tiki Cat's Wild Salmon recipe is just that--the primary ingredients are salmon and salmon broth, and when they eat it they leave no trace of food.

  • What went wrong

    By on

My cat had responded well to several small cans of this food so I ordered a case. One mistake - I didn't notice that I was ordering 6 oz cans. Something is different in these - the pieces of fish are massive and she is not eating many of them. She likes the sauce but leaves the fish even when I chop them up. Very unhappy and it was expensive.

  • All my cats love this

    By on

This flavor and Fowl Ball are big hits with all my cats - Even my extremely picky one! Rare find around here for everyone to like the same flavors. The food looks and smells good- Just enough gravy (not broth) with identifiable ingredients that even the usual "I only lap up the gravy" cat actually eats - I have added these two flavors to my rotation 2 to one with the other brands and flavors - None gets wasted.

  • She won't eat it.

Very gelatinous with big chunks of what looks like sardines with skin on them. My cat wouldn't touch it. My seagull loves it though.

  • My finicky cats love it.

I have 4 cats, 2 of them would not touch canned food. I noticed they loved salmon treats, so I decided to try this product. They all Love it!!! They round up in the kitchen when they know I m getting their special dinner. I split the 6 oz. can between them and they eat it up. It may cost more than other canned food, but it is worth it to get them to eat a healthy dinner.

  • Big Hit with Our Cats

    By on Top 50 Contributor

If you have cats that enjoy fish, please give this food a try. I actually had three cats climbing over each other to get to this food this morning. And, when they finished what was on the plate, they all cried for more. I don't feed fish-based food as a rule but decided to give this a try as a treat and I'm certainly glad I did. This food is chock-full of fish....salmon, mackarel, sardines and tuna and it was obviously a BIG hit. I also feed the Weruva Chicken Frick-A-Zee and Fowl Ball to them and they enjoy that as well. I think the Weruva brand is a good value because they eat it readily and the food appears to be excellent quality. I will definitely purchase this one again.
