Feed according to the age, size and activity of your cat. If fed alone, feed 1 oz for each pound of bodyweight daily, best fed twice a day. Your cat should have access to clean, fresh water. Refrigerate after opening.

Transition Instructions

Weruva always recommends switching your cat or dog's diet slowly and to adjust according to your pet's digestive stability. Typically, a 6 day transition suites most pet's needs. We recommend feeding a mix of 25% Weruva & 75% of the previous food for the first two days. For the next two days, feed 50% Weruva & 50% of the previous diet. Days 5 & 6, Feed 75% Weruva with 25% of the previous diet. Your pet should be fully adjusted to an exclusive high-quality Weruva diet thereafter.

  • A yay for me

    By on

My cats are not picky so I never have to worry about noses turning up to any food, but I just switched to Weruva, and I have to say that I love how much gravy comes in can, but that the gravy is easy to split in half and scooped out since I use 1 can for 2 cats. You can see the seafood bits and I feel comfortable knowing that it's a very healthy brand.

A couple of my cats will eat just a little bit of it, some of the outdoor guys will eat a bit. I first tried this about five years ago. thought to give it another try. Consensus is we won't be ordering this flavor again. Sorry La Isla Bonita.

  • Best cat food I've ever given them

    By on

I'm transitioning the 4 cats from dry food to only wet food. One of the cats has urinary issues and was on urinary diet from the vet. I now am seeing smaller poos and much bigger urine clumps as the food is very moist. So this is perfect for cats with urinary issues. I feed them twice a day. They eat several ounces each twice daily. I put the food down and their heads don't come up until they are done. The food is real chicken, real sardines. You can see the real pieces of meat. After 2 weeks their fur is softer, they are not shedding, they are more energetic and they are happier. Now they are waiting for me to open the can. They never did that before. Buy it!!!!

  • Rated OK by our crew

One of our cats has kidney issues so we try to keep an eye on the phosphorus levels of their food. However, finding a food that is accepted by different palates and has relatively low phosphorus can be quite a task. We recently added this food to the rotation. Although not as well received as some options, the cats will eat it which is a win. I also like the quality and what Weruva stands for as a company.

  • Best feature is it's healthy for her and she likes it.

I have a 14 year old female cat who has turned up her nose at so many different foods and flavors too numerous to count. I was very happy to see how happy she was with this product. I'm going to add the nine livers and chicken to my next order. I hope that fares as well.

  • Low Phosphorus for CRF Cat

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I feed as a treat on top of my CRF kitty's prescription food to entice her to eat. It is working. I do not solely use this food, I switch with other low phosphorus foods and do the same with them. Don't want to feed too much fish. She really loves the little shrimp. Good protein, which she needs. The other cats readily consume this, as well, including my 18 year old senior. It is a good texture that they consume completely...kind of shredded with a good amount of moisture.

  • Cats love it!

All 3 of my picky eaters like this one. It has lumps of fish in it, so it needs to be mashed and stirred before serving, but there are no leftovers after they finish eating.

  • Lower Phosphorus content for cat with kidney issues

    By on

Glad to find La Isla Bonita Mackerel and Shrimp Au Jus. I have a finicky old cat with kidney disease. Food is low phosphorus enough and he loves it. He will not eat the prescription stuff and he does well on this product. Another brand he liked changed the formula so glad to find this as a substitute.

  • Highly recommend!

I have two cats and the only food they've agreed on is Fancy Feast... That is until I bought them Weruva cats. They both love it and lick their bowls clean when I feed them this. Great stuff!
