Feeding Instructions

Feed according to the age, size and activity of your cat. If fed alone, feed 1 oz for each pound of bodyweight daily, best fed twice a day. Your cat should have access to clean, fresh water. Refrigerate after opening.

Transition Instructions

Weruva always recommends switching your cat or dog's diet slowly and to adjust according to your pet's digestive stability. Typically, a 6 day transition suites most pet's needs. We recommend feeding a mix of 25% Weruva & 75% of the previous food for the first two days. For the next two days, feed 50% Weruva & 50% of the previous diet. Days 5 & 6, Feed 75% Weruva with 25% of the previous diet. Your pet should be fully adjusted to an exclusive high-quality Weruva diet thereafter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality, plus higher percentage of protein than other brands Cats need protein, and I'm happy to say this food provides them with a higher amount per can than other foods I looked at. You do pay more for this kind of quality, but my cats are not weighed down with extra useless carbohydrates any more, and they are frisky and energetic. My boy cat has been getting a little chubby, so I started looking more carefully at the (always grain free, always canned) food that I've been feeding him. I was interested to learn that there is wide variation in the amount of protein in grain-free, canned cat foods. To do your own comparison, subtract the amount of moisture in the can (listed on the back, as a percent), from 100, to obtain the total solids in the can. Then, take the amount of protein listed, divide it by the number you got for solids, and multiply by 100. Weruva has the most protein I can find for my cats- twice what I had been feeding them before in what I thought was a reputable brand. Even better, the cats absolutely love it-- they gobble down the chunks of meat eagerly and happily, and I feel better knowing they aren't eating a puree or pate- just nice chunks of real recognizable food. Rated 5 out of 5 by All Four Approve I have 4 cats, 2 of whom are extremely finicky. Subsequently I end up buying multiple foods to please their picky palates (say that 10 times). Wuruva Mack & Jack/Skipjack is their all-time fave. Two of the four are on medication. I am able to pop the bills down their throats, but it's problematic for the pet sitter. She requested I have this food is available b/c it's the only way she can administer the meds. This is not stinky either, as one might expect. It has the approval rating of all 4 cats. Rated 5 out of 5 by Cats go nuts over this... I can't get it out of the can fast enough. I hit a spoon to the can and all 3 come running. Regular canned cat food doesn't get this enthusiastic response. And the smell isn't gross. This is a home run and very much cat approved. July 30, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by If you love your furry friend, this food is a must! Although the food isn't cheap, the quality is definitely there. I have 3 cats and they all love it! I feel good about what I am feeding them, just knowing that they are eating good food verses the over processed mystery foods. I will never feed them anything else. They all look beautiful, shiny and healthy. Thank you Weruva for making such great quality food! January 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Picky diabetic cat likes and doing well on this food Found out my cat who was on a diet of dry kibble for a long time was diabetic. After 6 months on insulin and quite a long journey of finding canned foods he would eat and eventually converting him to a rotation of canned foods, found a handful of foods he liked and this is one of them. He no longer requires insulin and is doing great. This isn't a pate mush of by-product stuff but rather you can see the fish pieces in it. It's like fish fruit cake. Cat loves it. I wish the food was cheaper but better this than spent on Lantus. Foods in the rotation that he likes and is doing really well on: Chicken Frick A Zee, Mack and Jack, Marbella Paella. May 23, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by There are better options for the price All 6 of my cats love tuna. But, this flavor was no-go for 5 of them. If you are going to feed Weruva, I would recommend the Truluxe series. All 6 cats love both the Tuna and Salmon Truluxe flavors. January 8, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Made All Four Cats Sick I bought this along with cases of other flavors by this brand and tried it for a bit hoping maybe my four cats just needed to adjust to it but that was not the case. This cat food made my cats throw up all the time and have diarrhea. My cats were constantly hungry while on this food probably since the food never stayed in their stomach for long. I gave it 2 stars as it did have lots of protein with real meat. August 20, 2015
