  • Very disappointed - none of my cats like it

    By on

Our 4 cats have been eating Weruva Asian Fusion as one of their top canned food varieties for a couple of years and enjoy it. My senior boy's appetite has been declining recently so I bought a case of the Paw Lickin' Chicken hoping to entice him to eat more but unfortunately he turned up his nose and none of the other cats will eat it either (they just lick the gravy). The cans also contain a lot more gravy than expected. I also tried feeding the Paw Lickin' Chicken to my 2 foster kitties but they turned it down as well. Very disappointing for an expensive product...

  • Hit with FINICKY cat!

    By on

I've been caring for a VERY finicky feral cat for about two years. He prefers the dry food that neighbors leave out, overlooking a lot of the wet food (despite very warm summers and cold winters, when that extra moisture would benefit him greatly). He's the kindest, least skittish cat, but won't let anyone closer than 2 feet away. VERY smart and will not get near a trap to be rescued. So, this is his life, and after buying multiple very expensive wet foods to try to entice him to eat more wet food, he is waiting for me every day in the yard for this food. I accidentally grabbed a can of Tiki Cat the other day and he buried it. Then I realized he was wanting this Weruva! • Tastes great

    By on

Well, after getting the assorted flavors which our first two cats loved we needed to switch. Our new cat, who lives to eat, could not eat fish from the assorted box without destroying the litter box. After a vet visit we fasted the cats for a day and switched them all to chicken. The cats all have normal poos now and we are all happier for it. Perhaps when they are a little older we csn try fish again. It is real chicken and even appealing to me.

  • This looks and smells like human food!

    By on

I purchased this because I think my cats may be tired of eating pate style can food. This one had a very high rating so I decided to try it. It does not look like cat food it looks and smells like human food. The only thing I did not like are the long shreds of chicken. I cut it for them and they seem to eat more when I do that.

  • Nosy Bodies

    By on

When I first served this, one cat did not turn up her nose up at it the way the other one did. No, she gobbled it down. A few meals later, they both had their noses in the bowls! How they look forward to each meal even more than the other food I also serve them! Weruva seems to be a brand they both like. I like that!

  • Shredded Chicken Breast

    By on

I have several cats. All cats are individuals on what they like and often get bored eith foods. With that said, all 6 of my cats ate this immediately. Its shredded ALL white chicken breast in a light colored gravy made with potato starch. Excellent food.

  • Life saver.

My elderly Savannah had spent a lifetime on the raw diet. She'd always been finicky about picking out only the chicken, and was extremely resistant to change. People who say "let them get hungry enough, they'll eat", are incorrect. She'd go 5 days without eating if an ingredient was changed. I know, I've had to call manufacturers to confirm why she wouldn't eat her food. There was no way to sneak supplements into her diet. Period. She recently became ill and refused water as well. While she was hospitalized to correct the dehydration and run diagnostics, I was combing specialty pet food suppliers. I came home with everything from goat milk to variations on raw. I didn't have much hope for this one. She's never in 14 years shown interest in canned. I popped the top and was shocked how good it smelled, to me! I took some on a teaspoon to where she'd been lying motionless since coming home and she lifted her head to sniff. Then she started eating. When I got up to dump the can onto a plate she sat up. I held the plate and she ate almost the entire serving. I sat with her for several hours, certain her stomach wouldn't hold it after 6 days but it did. She's completely recovered now, 2 weeks later, and eating 3 cans a day. She'll wake me up at odd times if she's hungry. The much needed nutrients are showing in her energy and attitude. She's younger. I'll be ordering this food in bulk from Chewy.com permanently. … more

  • Chicken too chewy and hard to cut up

    By on

I was hoping that with the gravy my cat would like this food. I tried cutting up the chicken pieces. Very hard to do. I do that with many other brands of food with no problems. She licked some of the gravy but the meat she would not eat. She likes the one with pumpkin much more than this one.

  • My cats love this, but

    By on

My cats love this food. They do a 'cold water' lick job on the bowls. However, I was looking for a less expensive alternative to Wellness CORE. This isn't it. The price per ounce is the same but they recommend feeding 1.0 oz per pound of cat while CORE recommends 0.6875 oz per pound so this is actually more expensive.

  • Lots to say

    By on

I spent a great deal of time researching and speaking with experts about this food solely because of it's country of origin. When I learned that my Abyssinian had special dietary needs this food was recommended; she loved it and it has helped her. I then learned that this food was made in Thailand I decided to do some reading. Weruva has a spotless record and I am, at this time, confident that this product is something I can feel good about feeding to my feline family. As consumers we MUST pay attention and do the work to assure we have made conscientious decisions regarding our pets and their health.
