I have two cats that will eat almost ANY food I buy --except this one. It is long shreds of chicken in a light watery gravy. My one cat will lick up the gravy and that's all. I tried chopping up the chicken to resemble other foods but that didn't work either.

I volunteer at a shelter, provide foster care for cats and have cats of my own. All of them love this food. When we have cats at the shelter who for one reason or another aren't eating, this food is the one that will get them going again. The excellent quality helps build up the systems of those that have been ill and gets them eating and back up on their paws.

Fresh taste and real meat. All eight of mine give it paws up. They cannot wait for me to put it in their bowls in the AM.
Pricey but you get what you pay for and no vet bills because my cats are extremely healthy. That is good enough for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Grace2Cats I like the fact that this product is so healthy. I feel good feeding it to my cats.
I have 2 very different, finicky females. One is totally addicted to dry food from a previous life and I am trying desperately to turn her onto wet food. Having tried several of the other grain-free brands with no success I decided to try Weruva, specifically the Paw Lickin Chicken and she seems to like it very much. My other cat seems to like the flavor but she is older, has lost many of her teeth and has a difficult time chewing through the chicken (prefers) pate style. My reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish the protein in this food was a little less stringy and more chopped up because I find the cats like to lick the gravy and tend to leave some of the 'meat' behind. Also, a can does not go very far because it is a lot of liquid (a plus if your cat runs dry), but it can be expensive as you go through a lot. Lately I have been mixing it with other food to stretch. Overall, satisfied with the product and will probably try some of their other flavors as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eyesa Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken in Gravy is a big hit!
Got a picky eater? You won't if you feed Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken in Gravy! I use it as a standard in my rotation of moist cat food, and the bowls are always licked clean! I've given a can to each of my cat owning friends and they've all had the same reaction. No grains, fillers or un-needed vegetables (cats are obligate carnivores) and Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken in Gravy fits the bill. A little more expensive, but not a lick of waste, so well worth it, especially if you have a picky eater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Halley01 HEALTHY CAT FOOD!!
The Weruva Chicken Paw Lickin Cat food Is excellent. I switched to a pure can food when my cat developed stones and after some research discovered that it was probley the dry food he was eating. Cats are CARNEVOURS and should be eating meat(protein). When not on this diet their body's do not break the dry food down and develop problems. the Protein gets used as energy and their body's know how to break it down. The cat will even poop less cause most of the food is being used as energy and not waste product. Since I switched to this food THANK GOD! he has never had a problem since. A woman in the vet had her cat in for the 3rd time with the same problem.. I just wish I knew then the proper diet. I would have shared with her and maybe her cat's health would have been better for the switch. Yes, the food is a little more money. But compared to a Vet bill every six months it's well worth the expense! Hope this is helpful-I wish I knew when I first got him, he may never have had to go through the trauma.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Grainfreeplease Caused Diarrhea
Switched to this after cat who had been eating only Natures Variety Ins chicken began having urinary issues with bleeding and became blocked. Chosen for the lower phosphorus, magnesium & calcium levels, and the higher protein to make urine more acidic to dissolve & prevent crystals. Was adding it slowly, but one of my two cats developed severe diarrhea. After reading many reviews here about cats with vomiting and diarrhea, and references to potatoe starch, I used a strainer to rinse off the gravy. The very next stool - diarrhea gone! Rather than strain/rinse the gravy, which makes up a large portion of the contents, I ordered Tiki Cat Puka Puka Chicken, also with high protein, low phos, calcium and magnesium. This is one of the few grain free canned foods that does not contain Carrageenan, but something in it causes diarrhea.

Looks and smells great, and is of great quality, but none of my 3 cats will eat it.
