Rated 5 out of 5 by Tara12 Cats thought it was yummy
I didn't realize that this variety was in gelee. My cats usually don't like that kind, but they loved this variety. Even the pickiest eaters ate it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LisaA Cat's clean the bowl
I like having good quality food for my felines and while anything with BBQ in it might sound strange to give to a cat, it's not. Not only was I impressed by the chunks of fish, I was impressed by how clean the bowls are in minutes. I received this as a sample at a local food store and that was fortunate for my cats...

For the life of me I can't figure out why my two cats won't eat this. It looks like clean fish in juice to me.

Our cat loves every single Weruva flavor that's fish. She thinks it's a treat whenever we serve it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by KittyWhisper Easy for My Cats to Eat
My cats really like this food, one more than the other, but both eat it without complaints. I'm torn because of the carrageenan in it, which I believe is a derivative of kelp but potentially harmful to the intestines. At the same time it helps provide a gelatinous texture which helps my kitties scarf it up easily, (unlike some of the other weruva recipes which use "pulled" strands of meat like "Paw Lick'n Chick'n"). My one cat has a difficult time licking up strands of meat. He does better with little chunks. The main Weruva fish recipes tend to be gelatinous (Truluxe is watery).
I prefer Polynesian BBQ over other fish recipes, because it seems to be the only recipe that doesn't have tuna (or other large Australian fish) that are known to be high in mercury content as the first ingredient. Sardines are the first ingredient, followed by tuna.
In case, you are curious, you can visit Weruva's main website and see photos of all of the recipes to get an idea if it's something your cat will like.
In short, this fish recipe is my favorite out of the entire Weruva line, based on texture, recipe and kitty approval.
PS: There is a "Marbella Paella" recipe that includes mackerel as the first ingredient, but I was wary of the possibility of farm-raised shrimp. I doubt that the shrimp is wild-caught, but I have not confirmed this. My belief is that if it were wild caught shrimp, they would advertise this. Probably cost prohibitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Happycustomer Excellent cat food
This is the only cat food, I have bought,(and I have purchased many) which my 18 year old cat can keep down. I only can give her small amounts at a time, which equals several feedings/day, but she likes the flavor and is doing well on the regiment. I hope this review helps other's with older, stomach sensitive cats. Chewy's prices are the best I have found. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by janie333 Wonderful food!
If your cats enjoy seafood, this is a great food for them. The cans are jam-packed with real chunks of seafood and a small amount of aspic. I usually take a can of this food and mix it with a can or two of Weruva Splash Dance. I stir it all up and this mixture feeds two cats for quite a few days. Our cats love Weruva and I love that it is a quality food. Check out their website. It seems like a very responsible company that takes pride in their products.

The texture is too gelatinous and my cats won't eat it.
Another case gets donated to the animal shelter.
