Instructions

  1. Simply pour 2 to 3 inches of World's Best Cat Litter™ into a clean, dry litter box. For the best results, do NOT mix with a non-clumping litter.
  2. After your cat has used the litter box, simply scoop the clump. For good hygiene, you should remove all clumps and solid waste daily.
  3. Maintain 2 to 3 inches of cat litter in the litter box at all time for long lasting odor control.

Some cats prefer to have their litter changed gradually. Start with only a third of World's Best Cat Litter™ added to your current litter. Then, once your cat is more familiar with it, change to two-thirds. After that, use only World's Best Cat Litter™.

Frequently Asked Questions

How did World's Best Cat Litter™ get its name?

Our company started back in 1996, when a group of scientists set out to create the best clumping cat litter possible. What they discovered was a revolutionary process that turned our natural ingredients into a cat litter that delivered concentrated power for a cleaner litter box—with less hassle and less litter. After several tests with consumers, we quickly realized that our litter could go by no other name, and World's Best Cat Litter™ was born!

What formulas of World's Best Cat Litter™ are available?

We have a total of five formulas that all deliver the concentrated power of corn so you can do more with less litter. The Original Series offers long-lasting litters with outstanding overall performance.

  • Clumping formula for homes with one to two cats
  • Multiple Cat Clumping formula for homes with two or more cats
  • Lavender Scented Multiple Cat Clumping formula for multiple-cat parents who enjoy their litter with a light, all-natural floral scent

Advanced Series products deliver our hallmark concentrated power, but add unique ingredient combinations that solve specific problems for cat owners who demand even more out of their litter. This series is available in the following formulas:

  • Zero Mess™ is the multiple-cat-strength litter that guarantees fast and easy cleanup with 2X better clumping and 2X more odor control, so you get less mess with less wasted litter. It's the only litter that combines the concentrated power of corn with super-absorbent plant fibers that quickly trap liquids in tight clumps, so you don't have to chisel and scrape the box. Scoop once and you're done.
  • Zero Mess™ Pine Scented delivers the fast and easy cleanup of Zero Mess™. Plus, it adds a blend of real pine ingredients for a gentle, natural scent you'll love.

What are the differences between the Original Series and Advanced Series formulas?

To satisfy the needs of all cat parents, we offer two series of litters that deliver the concentrated power that helps you do more with less. The Original Series offers long-lasting litters with outstanding overall performance. The Advanced Series delivers long-lasting litters purpose-built to solve specific problems.

What makes World's Best Cat Litter™ environmentally friendly?

All World's Best Cat Litter™ formulas are made with 100% natural and renewable ingredients. Our formulas contain no synthetic additives, chemicals, clays or perfumes, and they are made from sustainably grown ingredients—not mined or drilled using heavy equipment. We use an advanced, patented process to create formulas that harness the natural absorbency of renewable ingredients. World's Best Cat Litter™ contains no artificial chemicals or silica dust, so it's pet, people and planet friendly!

How does Lavender Scented Multiple Cat Clumping formula impact people or pets that suffer from allergies or sensitivities to fragrance?

As with any new product you introduce into your home, we recommend testing the product to see how you and/or your pets react. Like all World's Best Cat Litter™ products, this formula contains only 100% natural ingredients. However, if you or your pets are sensitive to fragrances, we recommend using our Clumping or Multiple Cat Clumping formulas, which are fragrance free.

How does World's Best Cat Litter™ offer concentrated power and how does it benefit me?

World's Best Cat Litter™ uses the concentrated power of corn to help you use less litter to maintain a cleaner litter box. Our patented production process compresses corn into concentrated granules, giving our litter natural absorbency and long-lasting performance. This allows you to enjoy a cleaner litter box with less hassle and less litter.

Is World's Best Cat Litter™ flushable?

Yes! All World's Best Cat Litter™ formulas have undergone rigorous testing to confirm they are sewer and septic safe. Unlike clay-based litters, World's Best Cat Litter™ harnesses the concentrated power of corn, so you can simply scoop, flush and move on with your day!

Are there any special requirements for storing World's Best Cat Litter™?

World's Best Cat Litter™ is a natural product, so bugs may be attracted to the litter if they gain access. Seal the package or store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place. Do not place litter boxes outdoors in humid locations.

Is World's Best Cat Litter™ more expensive than other litters?

Nope! With World's Best Cat Litter™, you get more for your money because it harnesses the concentrated power of naturally absorbent corn for long-lasting performance. One small bag of World's Best Cat Litter™ lasts one cat 30+ days. How? Our patented process compresses highly absorbent corn into concentrated granules, giving you a cleaner litter box with less litter! Quick-clumping and easy-scooping performance means the rest of the litter stays dry, so you use less, throw away less—and spend less.

Is World's Best Cat Litter™ safe for kittens?

World's Best Cat Litter™ products are made from food or feed-grade ingredients and are safe for kittens over eight weeks of age. In general, veterinarians do not recommend that kittens under eight weeks old use cat litter.

How often do I need to completely change the litter in the box with World's Best Cat Litter™?

How often you need to change your cat litter depends on how many cats you have and how often they use the litter box. World's Best Cat Litter™ harnesses the concentrated power of corn for long-lasting performance, and customers report that they don't have to change the litter as often as with other cat litters.

Who makes World's Best Cat Litter™?

World's Best Cat Litter™ is produced by Kent Pet Group in Muscatine, Iowa. The company is a subsidiary of the Kent Corporation.

Clumps all litter (urine & feces) very tight! A natural corn product so has aroma of cornflakes cereal which is pleasant to me & cats dont seem to object either. Does have other sent options like lavender or pine. I use the multiple cat type and there has been NO litter "smell" for my tribe of 3 in two large pans maintaining 4" after one month but I change monthly anyway as recommended on package. Cats evidently enjoy the texture as they make huge covering mounds. I use large litter mats for easy control. .Dust and tracking are normal . All brands are dusty and I often wonder how they figure that 99% dust free? Makes one wonder if the ad folks actually have cats! Anyway, my cats and Clumps all litter (urine & feces) very tight! • Best litter I've found -- and definitely cost-effective

    By on

I've tried just about every type of cat litter in my 30-plus years of cat ownership, and World's Best is the one I (and, it seems, my cats) prefer hands-down. Yes, it is more expensive than most others, but I've found that a bag of World's Best lasts at least, if not more than, twice as long as a same-sized bag of another kind. It's much lighter than clay litters, which makes it easier to clean the litter box, and the clumps do not tend to stick to the sides of the box the way others do. It's biodegradable and flushable -- two other pros. I even tested to see if one or both of my cats preferred it -- I filled one box with World's Best and the other with a name brand, commercial litter I'd I've tried just about every type of cat litter in my 30-plus years of cat ownership, and World's Best is the one I (and, it seems, my cats) prefer hands-down. So I'm sticking with World's Best for the foreseeable future. It's great that I can have chewy.com auto-ship a 28 pound bag to me every two months and I never have to worry about running out before the next shipment comes. I recommend World's Best without reservation. … more

  • Very good absorption

    By on

Our cat came from the shelter, declawed by her previous owner. I was looking for "lighter litter" and ended up trying this. I am amazed how well this litter absorbs urine! Using another brand previously, the clumping litter would allow the urine to sink to the bottom of the litter box before clumping, causing a sticky mess at the bottom. With this litter, it forms a solid clump before urine ever manages to run to the bottom, making cleaning the litter box much easier. Moreover, our cat does not seem to suffer from painful paws, because the individual particles are really light and airy. And indeed, there is no dust when filling or scooping through the litter. • Good clumping, lasts a long time, lower dust

    By on

Pleasantly surprised with this litter. I was previously using a walnut litter and was disappointed in how quickly it lost its clumping ability - I no longer have this issue! This litter keeps its clumping ability and holds tight. I've also noticed that there isn't a big dust cloud when I scoop the box. I notice a very fine dust on the bookshelf near my litter box, but it picks up very easily with a duster. Odor control I would say is whats lacking a little bit. I have 2 cats and one of them has pretty stinky #2 due to some medical issues, and it doesn't totally mask the odor. I can walk in my house and know if the cat has gone. I'm going to try the lavender scented one and see if that's Pleasantly surprised with this litter. • Expensive, but good product

    By on

This works really well at odor control. My 2 cats share the same box, and I had no problem introducing the new litter. Never liked clumping litter, but this one doesn't stick to the kitty paws so much, so cleaner and less to sweep up. This litter is safe to flush down the toilet also. I find that I don't have to change the litter quite so often since the odor control is better. I also appreciate that this litter is more environmentally friendly than clay, and it is lighter so makes changing the litter easier for me. The photo shows my precocious black cat, Chiquita. Not shown is Miss Kitty.

  • Good product

    By on

It's surprisingly absorbent and scoops easily. I gave it four stars because the odor control isn't the best. It works well the first couple of days then after a couple of days of scooping, it seems to diminish some. Not completely out of control - just slightly. I much prefer this over the scented clay littler. Cats have sensitive olfactory sense and I can't help but to think that the perfumed litter offends them. Was getting harder to find it unscented so I am giving this a try. Glad I did. I am for sure a real shopper of products through Chewy and I want to add something here - The customer service provided by Chewy is stellar! • Perfect litter for us

    By on

This litter is a winner! After trying ALL kinds we found this and it was the best for not being tracked all over the house. Biodegradable.... Hummm lets put it by the toilet and see how this works? Beautifully! Just scoop and flush, you can't beat that. The best complement, after having guest in my house about a week, they had to do some laundry. (The washer/dryer is in my bathroom). My guest said I've been wondering where your cat box was. You can't smell anything in your house like other people's who have cats and she was standing right beside the box. My fur baby is 12 years old and loves this. The fact that it is so easy to clean makes both of us happy.

  • Great litter

    By on

I really like this litter! I have tried the other popular brands of cat litter without luck. Clay litter is horrible and even worse when it's scented. The shaved pine logs and recycled newspaper created a huge mess. I have 2 indoor male cats and they love their cat box! I scoop once a day and really like how the litter clumps and doesn't smell like air freshener scented cat poop. The urine takes some time to dry into clumps but it's worth the wait! The litter doesn't leave their fur or their paws sticky with a residue or turn their paws yellow. They track a bit of litter out but it is caught by the mat under the cat box. With my 2 cats, 1 bag lasts about 6 weeks.

I have had cats all my life and used clay litters for the full extent of them. I never thought much of it until my late kitty, who was declawed, began to get elderly. I wanted to make everything as comfortable and easy for him, so I looked into softer cat litters for his little paws. World's Best came up for a slew of reasons, including biodegradability, renewable resourcing, grain size, clumping ability, softness of corn, etc. I thought I had to give the top-rated litter a try. And it was amazing! Even with his urine complications (he was a sick kitty), his urine clumped amazingly and was so easy to scoop. Even if he peed against the side of the litter box, this litter soaked it all up and scooped in one easy, simple movement. Now, with my younger cat, I only use World's Best and she loves it. Again, so easy to scoop, no giant, wet clumps that crumble into pieces, and I love that it's safe for me and my cat to breathe and use. It's soft-textured, larger grained than clay litters so I know it will work for her well into old age. I will say it has an unusual smell (it is corn) but it's not bad. It's just not like other litters and the smell disappears shortly after scooping (when the dust settles). I easily get 2 1/2 weeks of use out of one litter box, before dumping, cleaning, and refilling. The price is so reasonable for the product and quality that it is and I'm so happy to be using this now. I only wish I had found it sooner for the well-being of me and my prior kitties. … more

  • Love this litter..and, hey....

    By on

..it's flushable for septic systems and clumps well enough and my kitties love it! No, it's not perfect but it's pretty great. I have two 4-month old barn rescue kittens and they are loving this litter. We tried another litter (Elsey's) and could not believe how awful it was!!! It's worse than your kitten stepping into cement!! We're still wiping up paw prints! It's good to know that nothing is perfect and it's often about personal preference, and balancing out what your cats like and what their humans can tolerate.
