Description

Uretic has achieved extraordinary results in tens of thousands of felines through multiple generations for over thirty years. It is created by a veterinarian and owes its popularity solely to veterinary recommendation and word of mouth. By targeting wellness, immune and urinary systems, Uretic natural cat food has proven itself as a diet that creates robust vitality. This improved formulation is designed to take advantage of new processing methods to preserve natural value, and nutritional advances related to epigenetics and nutrigenomics. Uretic now contains higher levels of fresh/frozen and dried meats and organs, protein, and fat, and a comprehensive spectrum and higher levels of micronutrients/nutraceuticals including prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes, omega-3s, antioxidants and more. Excess minerals are eliminated, natural sourced, urinary-important methionine are added, and small quantities of fruits and vegetables mimic what may be consumed in the viscera of prey, and contribute important vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other nutrients.

I was really excited to try this food for my Cats chronic UTI issues. I supplement his wet food diet with a little dry, more as a treat (since he's small and could gain a few). He was really excited, as I opened the bag, cause he'd been without his "crunchies" for a couple days. No interest, after first bite. I was so bummed. It's taken me forever to find a brand that addresses urinary issues, with good ingredients! He loves Purina Pro Plan Focus, but I was feeling bad about the ingredients. So I still want to give this 3 stars for being much better quality, on paper. On the plus side, he will eat the wet version of this, which is just a little more expensive than the Merrick LI Grain Free, but I was really excited to try this food for my Cats chronic UTI issues. • Working for my UTI cat

    By on

The Wysong brand for UTIs in cats is much cheaper than the other prescription brand the vet recommended. The magnesium amount is also very low (vet said a prime concern). -however, i'm having to feed all my cats the same food and they really don't seem to like it that much....but they're getting used to it and are eating it. they do get wet food for dinner and not a problem with the UTI cat cause she only eats dry food and a little chocolate??? go figure

  • Was hoping this would work :-(

I tried this after my cat had an UTI because it is much more affordable than the hills rx c/d food. Within 6 months my cat had another UTI and crystals in her urine. So now I’m switching over to the Hills c/d food. I wish I would have done that at the start because I might have saved several hundreds in vet bills. Maybe it would work good for another cat but not mine.

My 3 yr old Persian cat got a urinary obstruction and nearly died. I had to switch him to a different food so that he wouldnt get blocked again and the vet wanted him on the blue buffalo urinary diet but it was $163 for a 6lb bag. I compared ingredients and this was way more affordable for almost the same ingredients. Ive also started feeding him more grain free wet food and adding more water to make sure hes urinating often. I even got him a new cat litter called pretty litter that tells me if he needs to go to the vet again.

  • Best Choice!

My adult male cat was diagnosed with FIC. He did not have any crystals & my vet recommended a urinary food for him. I set out to find the best ingredients & best food for him. After reading many blogs & labels I chose to go with Wysong Uretic. The ingredients were far superior, imo, than every urinary tract dry formula I researched. Most all the brands in the pet food stores & even the prescription brands had corn with it usually being one of the first ingredients in the list which I personally avoid feeding my pets. I could not be happier with Wysong. MoMo has taken to eating it just fine and has not had an episode since. I can't completely attribute it all to Wysong since I have My adult male cat was diagnosed with FIC. He did not have any crystals & my vet recommended a urinary food for him. I can't completely attribute it all to Wysong since I have started him on a urinary tract supplement & he has a new kitten brother in the house (also on Wysong kitten formula). We had lost a cat prior to MoMo having several back to back episodes & I don't know if the loss was contributing to his FIC flares or not. I do know that once ZaZu came home & after less than a week MoMo had adopted him as his baby. He loves his new baby & that may have also helped. I will not go back to any other brand. I will keep ZaZu on the kitten formula until he is a year old & then both will go on the Uretic formula. I also supplement with some higher end canned foods 2x a day. … more

  • not bad at all

I ran out of the prescription food for a few of my cats,I have tried all the less expensive brands of urinary tract formulas, and they either threw it up,or just wouldn't eat it,this one they actually ate and kept it down,so in a pinch this works really well.

  • Good option for UTI cats

    By on

Both of my cats had an expensive bout of UTI's - I feed primarily canned food now to make sure they both get extra liquids, but I like to keep this on hand to go along with it and make the canned food last. Not their favorite in comparison to canned, but they do eat it. No Rx required.

  • Seemed like a good idea

I tried this food for my 3 kitties (6 to 10yr olds). So far after a couple of tries, they are still not interested. It was the right amount of protein and made in USA, those are things I look for! I will try again but disappointed for now .

  • Boots loves it !

My 3 yr old rescue kitty was diagnosed with urinary problem after a vet visit. We are giving her the prescription Hills CD and wanted to have a dry kibble to leave out for her when we are gone during the day. She is a VERY picky eater, will not even eat treats. The Wysong is a hit, she loves it! Now that she is feeling better, we want to do everything we can to maintain her health - the Wysong is the food we will be using to supplement her wet food from now on.

  • All the cats love it

I have one 13 year old male cat who has had urinary issues for about 5 years. Lately he's become really sensitive to the urinary food I've been giving him-upsetting his stomach and he doesn't want to eat it. I tried Wysong because of the good reviews and I think I've found a winner. All my cats love it, especially the one with urinary issues. He can't get enough of it, his stomach issues have stopped and he has more energy. Highly recommended!
