None of the usual in the litany that ends up in cat food in general in the United States: gums, Tetrasodium pyrophosphate, grain, additives, additives, additives..yes, even our cat food cans, that is BPA and the like. • good food, but...

This is a great food, but I'm having trouble getting all the cats to eat it. Also, it is very expensive. I'm going to give it to my cats a few times a week. A lot of people may think that you should never give your cat dry food, but for many reasons I offer dry and canned food. And plenty of bottled water. I actually add a teaspoon of water to each serving of Ziwipeak my cat eats and the gravy is well received.

  • Breakfast for Pepe

My cat likes this flavor for his breakfast. Unlike other brands that carry the rabbit flavor, he prefers this one the most and I am surprised that he has so far stuck with it! He's very finicky and was only accepting Venison (of this brand as well). I guess it's because it has quite a bit of lamb that enhances the flavor. Good job ZiwiPeak, please keep up with quality food!

  • Good but expensive

    By on Top 50 Contributor

I decided to roll the dice and try this brand and this flavor. Other lamb or rabbit recipes were met with mixed reviews however this one seems to go over well. Not everyone likes it but if the majority of 14 do them it's a good thing. A variety pack would be good to try other flavors as this is very expensive but over all the cats are paws up.

  • my finicky cat LOVES this

when I adopted my cat, she was originally on Royal Canin kitty dry food only and I wanted something healthier and to give her more wet food over dry food - I tried various brands like Nature's Variety, Tiki Cat, Weruva, etc but she would only eat small bites at a time and just took forever to finish one can, so eventually someone suggested Ziwipeak b/c his picky cat would lick his bowl clean and of course this was the brand that worked best. I started out with 3 oz cans but so much of the food sticks and it is quite expensive for cat food, so I decided to give 6 oz a try and found that the cat food doesn't stick as much and it definitely is more cost efficient to get larger size once I was able when I adopted my cat, she was originally on Royal Canin kitty dry food only and I wanted something healthier and to give her more wet food over dry food - I tried various brands like Nature's Variety, Tiki Cat, Weruva, etc but she would only eat small bites at a time and just took forever to finish one can, so eventually someone suggested Ziwipeak b/c his picky cat would lick his bowl clean and of course this was the brand that worked best. • Disaster

Ordered this brand for my two 9 year old cats, in an attempt to find a healthy brand that they both would eat and not have digestive problems. When I opened the can and put it in their bowls on the floor, they both walked away and never came back. Had to feed them another brand. This food was very expensive. I gave it to a friend who has nine feral cats. All nine of her cats ran from this. Makes you wonder what is in this brand, doesn't it? This brand was highly recommended in an online research study. Beware!

  • So much good!

My cat's primary food is ZiwiPeak. This is one of her favorite varieties. The ingredients and sourcing are excellent. I feel good about every single ingredient. The value of this high-quality food is quite good when you buy a case of the 6-oz cans. The food is dense, highly nutritious, appealing and filling. I regularly add 2 Tablespoons of hot water to 1/4 of the can from the fridge. It takes that much water without being soupy and warms up the cold leftovers. I feed my cat smaller portions 4-5 times a day. The phosphorous level is slightly higher than that of the plain lamb at 1.33% DMB. The bone matter is less than 3% which provides vital nutrients without being too much for sensitive My cat's primary food is ZiwiPeak. This is one of her favorite varieties. I know this is a good food but my cats will not eat it. Cats are so finicky. I donated the food to rescue cats.

  • My picky boy even loves it

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I'm always looking for variety in my 2 boys diet so I decided to give ZP a try. I have one boy who will eat mostly anything and another who is the picky one. I'm pleased to say that both of them love Ziwipeak. Even my picky one who often sniffs and walks away scoffed it down. He ate it faster than he eats the cheaper foods like Fancy Feast he often favors. It is too expensive but with meats and organs at the top of the ingredients list I will try to keep it in my cats rotation. I'm also pleased there's no carregeenan or guar gum in the ingredient list.
