What is the cubic area of a 10lb bag?

Each 10 pound bag of Catalyst is 1/3 of a cubic foot. If using a large box (15x18 inch) 1 bag will fill the pan to 2.5-inch depth leaving 4lb. of litter remaining in the bag after filling. The remaining litter should allow the user to scoop and replace the litter over the next 30 days.
Can you flush it?

This litter is technically flushable, although many regulations and BMPs advise not to flush any litter. Please follow your local regulations and BMPs.

Worst litter I've ever used

Truly. I'm always looking for a better alternative to clay litter and this has a decent price and reviews so I gave it a shot. Two cats, two boxes, one bag divided. First thing is it's indeed lightweight but the SMELL is horrid. It made everything smell, even the cats. One kitty is long-haired and large, the other is short-haired and slim, and my Big Chungus gets it stuck in his feet, his fur, literally everywhere. It tracks better than Dog the Bounty Hunter, not a good look for Catalyst - this litter goes all over the place and I'm constantly sweeping. Lastly...the clumps are meh. They are soft and tender to fall apart while scooping. I didn't make it two full weeks before I dumped out both boxes and refilled with a premium clay litter. The smell went away almost immediately and I'm not seeing anything in my cat's feet or fur now. Never again.

Awesome litter!

Love this litter. After using regular pine litter for several years (and knowing my one cat hated it because he would never bury anything), I switched one litter box to this. Both cats immediately stopped using the old litter and would only use the new. Message received! I originally tried the multi-cat option, but I did not like how strong the scent was. If you have any sensitivity to smells, I would not recommend the multicat option. But both clumped really well and last a long time. Definitely recommend!

Good Litter

Helping our cats and the environment...what's not to like? We have a large cat family and use various natural litters---never chemical. The cats started using the boxes with this litter right away. The dust and tracking was very minimal. Usually not a fan of any scented litter, but the scent on this was very, very light and natural. Not only would I buy this litter again---I already have!

Love it! Highly recommended

The smell is super Pleasant and smells woodsy. It clumps very nicely and it doesn't track all over the place. I went back to try to buy a whole bunch more bags but unfortunately I can only buy two more at a time. I will definitely be switching to this litter for sure! The cat seem pleased as well.

Too strong smelling

Not only did my whole house end up smelling like the scented litter every time the furnace came on but if I thought it was strong smelling then it is no wonder the cats wanted nothing to do with it. Should have tried ur scented.

finally no mess

My cat is an artist in the vein of Jackson pollack meaning she love splashing water and getting food and litter everywhere. It is exhausting. This litter however has put and end to constantly sweeping up pellets or dust because it is a very heavyweight litter. She can kick and clean till her heart is content. It does a great job of hiding the odor too, even from her. Usually when we visit our family at Christmas she gets really anxious about her litter and checks it constantly, but she didn’t do that at all with this new litter. I am so happy! We like this better than oko cat, world best, feline pine, pretty litter.

5 kitty owner!

This stuff is terrible! It sticks to my cats feet and the track it every where! On my clothes, on my couch, on my bed! Would not recommend to anyone!!

good stuff

This litter clumps good, and doesn't track much. My cat likes it, and even though I get the unscented, there is a nice smell of fresh cut wood. Better for the environment, so what's to complain?

sadly a no from me

I had found a litter I loved but after being traumatized with opening the bag and bugs flying out I decided to try this one. I want something natural since my cat gets infections with clay liter but I still want something with low dust and clumping. This doesn’t really clump well, it is more odor controlling that some natural ones but it is pretty dusty and tracks like crazy. I will use it up but I don’t think I’ll repurchase. If you don’t mind tracking or non clumping you can give it a try.

Thankfully

My favorite litter was discontinued. It was messy but it smelled good like fresh cut wood. So I tried Catalyst Superior Odor Control. I was concerned because it is finely ground, but it is cleaner than my old favorite and smells great. I will be ordering again.
