Has anyone ever used this in a litter robot? If so does it work?
Answer by ChewyApr 16, 2021
This litter is incompatible with the litter robot and sifting litter boxes.

Can this cat litter be flushed away in the toilet? I hope so, because I’ve been flushing it.
Answer by ChewyNov 28, 2020
This cat litter is technically flushable, however many regulations and BMPs advise not to flush any litter. Please follow your local regulations and BMPs.

I wanted to Love it, But....

I really wanted to love this litter. The way it biodegrades compared to most clay based litters, their plastic free promise, my cats really took to it and loved it......However, it is messier than the clay based litter we use--it sticks to the cat's paws and they shake it around and it flies everywhere (we have a large litter box with high walls even). Will try it again if you can get it to actually clump and not stick to the cats' paws.

I’m in a multicat house (was 5 now 3). The litter smells like fresh flowers. Clumps so solid that it’s beyond easy to clean. Light weight. If I could complain about anything…I’d love a bucket to store it in (maybe a promotion item). Very enthusiastic about this litter!

Still tracks- Might try another formula

Got this litter because my two cats one long hair and one short hair are terrible at using the litter box. One makes a huge mess and the other always has litter stuck to his hair. I got this to try out as I prefer natural non-clay litters. The smell is okay not the biggest fan. But This may track worse that what I previously used. I may try another formula/version of this product but have not decided. This may be good for one cat or a specific type of litter box perhaps but not for me.

STINKS of potpourri

Oof! Sadly, I can't get past the smell on this one! My whole apartment reeks of potpourri remenescent of what my mom had around the house in the 90s. It's a really overpowering smell that hit me as soon as I entered the room. My cat peed outside of the box as well despite the box being clean. It seems to clump well but there's better natural litters out there.

Not so good...

Great idea in principle...but very bad on the carpet. It sticks like glue. My cats did take to it fine though. I recommend offering a large scooper with your first order. This litter did not sift well at all. I had to buy a large metal one with larger slats.

Sticks to Paws

First I didn't really like the way this smells but past that it gets caked on my cats paws and gets tracked all over the house. Its also kinda hard to sift. I wanted to try it out but I'm going back to the regular cat litter.

Not for us

The natural fragrance of this was not for me. The cats disliked the litter getting stuck in their paws. Disliked it so much I did not even finish the bag I purchased

I Liked It At First...

Let's start with The Good: the branding is fantastic with what I perceive as a somewhat 1970's apothecary feel. I love that. I wanted to buy a bag just because of the graphics. Then I was interested in trying a pine based litter that was soft and not pine pellets, which is what this is. I was pleased when I received my first bag because the aroma of natural pine was pleasant and my cats took right up to the litter immediately. No learning curve for any of my three cats. A pet owner can be pleased when a new cat litter is accepted immediately. Now for what most people want to know for reviews awarding a low score. The Bad: A few weeks after introducing the new litter I noticed cat litter all over my hardwood floors. Now if you've never used this product, the particles are very fine. Almost like a heavy powder. What I originally thought to be an asset turned into a liability with time. Then the issue of a dusty powder turned into a dusty layer of used cat litter in the entire room. And why I'm deciding to move onto a different brand after I go through the remaining three bags I purchased is because my black cat demonstrates clearly how dusty this litter can be. Bruiser had been showing up with dirt and dust all over his face and head. I thought he was getting into something in my basement, until I put together that he looked this way after every visit to the litterbox with this litter. I've provided Bruiser's photo for illustration. In conclusion: Catylst, I wish your company the best but this litter for home use is too dusty. This litter has even been tracked from my 2nd floor to the 1st. Maybe larger particles would create a solution? For the customer reading this review before purchasing. Try it. It's a nice product- until dust and powder covers everything. But maybe you'll have a different experience.

pretty good litter

Light clean fragrant odor that stayed even after scooping. It doesn't scoop very well, not tight. But it does eliminate odor and isn't dusty as others

waste of $

I have been buying cat litter for over 15 years and this is by far the worst one I’ve ever purchased. I have 3 cats that can be somewhat messy but they were tracking this stuff EVERYWHERE, it caked onto their paws and would even stain our velvet sofa (luckily velvet is somewhat cat-proof). I cleaned the litter box multiple times a day and would completely replace the litter once a week and it didn’t matter, it was still caking to their paws and I was still constantly sweeping and vacuuming it up, I even started wiping my cats paws off when they would come out of the litter box but it would annoy them and I was worried they would start associating using the litter box with being annoyed. I ended up tossing half a bag and switching back to pellets. What a waste.
