CatGenie automatically scoops, liquefies, and flushes cat waste out of home. Uses water and SaniSolution to wash and sanitize Cat Bowl and Washable Granules. CatGenie dries interior and Granules for your cat's comfort. Only CatGenie 120 SaniSolution Cartridges will work with the CatGenie 120. These are in clear plastic. All green colored cartridges will not work in this unit.
Key Benefits- CatGenie automatically scoops, liquefies, and flushes cat waste out of home. You'll spend less time cleaning and you'll never touch, change, or buy cat litter again.
- It uses litter-like Washable Granules, not clay litter, to satisfy cats need to dig and cover. It uses SaniSolution to wash, scrub, scour, and then sanitize the bowl during each cleaning period. After, it'll dry the Granules, leaving them warm and ready for the next use.
- Ideal for one to two, but no more than three cats, of average size and 6 months or older. You have the ability to choose when the CatGenie operates and when it doesn't. Choose from 14 or 24 hours, in which it's active, and 10 or 30 minute delays for cleaning.
- Requires hookup to cold water, a drain or toilet, and electrical outlet to function. Most prefer to hookup in either the bathroom or laundry room since there are already cold water lines present.
- Includes biodegradable, recyclable SaniSolution cartridge and 1 box of Washable Granules so you have everything you need to start using the CatGenie as soon as it's hooked up. The included supplies should last 3 months for one cat, or 2 months for two cats.
(1) CatGenie 120 Self-Washing Cat Box, (1) SaniSolution cartridge, (1) box of washable granules, easy manuals, T-Adapters.
Precautions
Never use or mix cat litter with the Washable Granules in your CatGenie. Doing so can cause severe damage. Just a few grains of clumping litter clogs pipes, ruins the Water Sensor, and causes endless errors.

While the Washable Granules never need changing, they do need to be replenished. Just add Granules when the amount falls below the fill-level line, which is indicated by an indentation inside the Bowl. It is important to keep the Granules filled to that level. Always have an extra package of Washable Granules on hand.

Great Invention!
By CatGenieLover on Nov 9, 2019
Those of you who don’t own a Cat Genie are really missing out. Who wants to scoop cat poop? Come into the 21st-century. These units are amazing. My cat took to it immediately after I put a piece of her feces inside. After it cleans and sanitizes itself, the unit is ready for my cat to use again. She always knows she has a clean box to go to.

the smell is awful
By PLarg on Oct 12, 2019
I have two cats ant they switched to this unit without a problem. I have since discovered that they will not wait for it to wash if they have to go to the bathroom and will use the floor if it is running. I have made adjustments to the cycle to help prevent this but it still happens. So I went to cats that never had any accidents to having to clean them up daily. I have also found that the smell of crap takes over my entire home when it is washing. It is strong overwhelming smell. I’m very disappointed in this litter box.

Works great, but it is not perfect.

I purchased a Catgenie for our house in February 2019. We adopted a female kitten in December 2018, and our 13 year old female cat refused to share a litter box with her. After a few months, our older cat started defecating outside the litter box. She would only use the box if it was completely clean and scent free of the other cat. We were stunned because she had previously shared a litter box with our deceased male cat for years - we also have two traditional litter boxes. Because of busy schedules, I took a chance and made this purchase. We placed ours in the guest bathroom at first, but that bathroom is directly outside of the return air vent for the entire house, and the smell I purchased a Catgenie for our house in February 2019. Because of busy schedules, I took a chance and made this purchase. We placed ours in the guest bathroom at first, but that bathroom is directly outside of the return air vent for the entire house, and the smell emanated throughout the entire home. So, we moved it to the laundry room. Our cat did not adjust easily. She did not prefer the plastic pellets as they are very different from litter. Yet, we ultimately won her over because it was always clean. When we tried to integrate the two cats to using the Catgenie by taking away the traditional litter boxes, we discovered the same territorial issues continued because of timing - they both wanted to use the box at the same time, and it takes too long to clean. The end result: our cats started taking turns using the office as a litter box (we had no doors up at the time), and now the office carpet is ruined and we are having our floors redone. Additionally, the hand motor went out in July 2019 (that's only five months of use), which seemed like a bad deal. However, customer service was great, and they sent a new unit that was delivered to me two days later. There is a two year warranty on the machine, so if you think about that in terms of cost, it is a pretty good deal because they will replace it for you. The pellets and sanitize solution are not cheap, but for me, it is worth the convenience of not having to scoop litter. The pellets do track everywhere. However, we purchased a Roomba, which takes care of the pellet problem for the most part. There are still some pellets around the house, but not anymore than we see in our traditional litter. I service (clean) my machine once a quarter, and so far, I have only had one clog. However, that clog was due to pellets, not feces or hair. When my machine was clogged, I called customer service, they walked me through the issue, and it was fixed in about ten minutes total. Now, I know how to do it myself, and I will not need to call them. Having said that, I was very impressed with customer service and their hours. They are open late and on the weekends. In sum, this machine is not "maintenance free," but it beats scooping litter daily to keep a clean house. I am also happy to stop the dirty paws of my cat from leaving traces of litter around the house. I would definitely purchase the machine again. … more

Six Years and going strong! (Chewy - you need to get these back in stock!)
By TugsMom on Jul 31, 2019
I love, love, love my Cat Genie. I absolutely hate scooping litter, and I hate a dirty litter box. I will take having to completely take apart and clean this thing a couple times a year over scooping poop daily, anytime! Depending on your cat - mine has medium length hair - you may have to clean the impeller every so often. I keep some dish gloves and a dedicated pair of scissors near mine, so that if there is a clog, I can cut the cat hair that has wound itself around the impeller. But I really don't get some of the negative reviews - I think some people wrote the 1-star reviews just because they knew they'd get attention. Again, I've had my CatGenie for 6 years, and I would buy a new one tomorrow I love, love, love my Cat Genie. I absolutely hate scooping litter, and I hate a dirty litter box. Again, I've had my CatGenie for 6 years, and I would buy a new one tomorrow if mine broke. I have mine hooked up to the laundry drain, and I would highly recommend that. I don't think I'd like the alternative of the toilet bowl, because you'd have to flush for your cat, and that seems to defeat the purpose of an automatic 'cat toilet.' Some people say it smells during the drying cycle. I've had this happen occasionally, but I have mine in the basement, so I rarely notice it. I also have 'cat activation' set up, so it cleans more often, but if you set it up on a timed schedule, just time it for when you're sleeping or generally not home. There are a lot of solutions for the minimal complaints I've seen. I also like the 'fresh scent' sani-solution, so maybe that masks any smell. And I also love that this is environmentally friendly, especially when compared to regular litter. THEY ARE NOT PLASTIC PELLETS. I've seen this in a few reviews, and that is WRONG. They are biodegradable pellets (and litter is not). A box of pellets lasts me about 4 months, but I think they would last longer if I didn't run it after every time my cat goes in it. I run the maintenance cycle every 2 months. The sani-solution lasts a couple months per cartridge. I paid a lot more for clumping litter before I found this gem. And the customer service at this company is wonderful. If you ever have a question, just call them. They are really friendly and helpful. I love supporting small companies!! Oh, and the one 'maintenance' issue I've had is the water sensor. The machine will beep that it has an error - the instruction manual is key for understanding the different error codes and what to do - and all you do is pull the water sensor 'wand' out, clean the tip with a little lemon juice (or just rub it gently til it's shiny again) and replace it. We have hard water, and this does happen every couple months, but usually it's when I forget to be diligent about my 2-month maintenance cleaning cycle. As far as tracking out the pellets, I bought a large plastic 'litter catching' mat, and that has worked really well. It's not any worse than the litter my cat would track out of a litter box. I also have the dome on my Cat Genie, because my cat LOVES to go crazy with the digging. I just pick up the mat and dump the pellets right back in. Frankly though, I would never have an indoor cat again without having this machine. … more

A must have!
By Kat3 on Jul 10, 2019
Absolutely love it! It’s so worth the money! Everyday before going to bed I activate the cleaning session. It’s funny the 3 cats just stand there and watch it clean! I think they try to be the first one to use the clean box! I will never scoop again!

Smelly, heated poop
By Travis on Jul 10, 2019
We had high hopes for this thing. It works well about half of the time. The other half, the machine fails to collect all the poop, which is then heated, creating a terrible aroma in my house. Candles and air fresheners don’t alleviate the smell. I’m returning this sucker.

Great replacement for smelly litter box
By Jackie51 on Jun 21, 2019
This is my second Cat Genie—had the first one for 8 years. Be sure to do the periodic clean function, it will save you from a messy job of taking apart the unit to really get it clean. Picking up a few stray plastic pellets is so much better than cleaning a smelly litter box!

Great for multiple cats
By JoyP on Jun 19, 2019
We have three cats and this has been a great choice for us. We've had the catgenie about two months and love it. Very easy set up and use. We opted to purchase the the hood as well. This has helped keep the granules in the bowl as much as possible. We have one cat that likes to scatter them around. But definitely not a product issue, just a cat personality thing. Overall I would recommend this product.

Cats love it!
By Brooke on Apr 26, 2019
Our two cats took to it immediately. There is zero catbox smell anymore. The only thing that’s a minor turn off is that the plastic litter kind of gets dragged around. It’s easy just to sweep it up and put it back in. We also purchased the hood for this. I don’t think my cats would use it otherwise and there would be more litter mess.

Slightly dissapointed
By Andrea on Apr 20, 2019
I preface this with I have been looking at this cat box for years... but it took me not being able to clean the box for health reasons to get one. The box does clean the litter. I don't smell anything so far. It has taken my cats 2 weeks to get used to it. I expected they'd be quicker because they are pretty laid back cats. My big boy isn't really comfortable in this box. He's a large not fat cat so his body is long. He's 18 lbs. I saw him scratching with only half his body in the box... Speaking of... I've had poop either kicked out or just missed the box twice. I ordered the dome for the box... While I haven't added the dome yet to help them get used to the box first I did add I preface this with I have been looking at this cat box for years... but it took me not being able to clean the box for health reasons to get one. While I haven't added the dome yet to help them get used to the box first I did add the "sidewalls" from the dome. I personally think this should come with the Genie. The box is super shallow. I have had cat litter everywhere! I think it's more than my regular cat litter, but hard to tell because the box is in a different location now. It takes up a bunch of space and the hose and electrical cord look ugly. CatGenie website has a mat that goes under the box to catch the litter that goes everywhere... It has great reviews. I just ordered one. I was disappointed chewy doesn't carry this as I probably would have ordered originally. I hope it helps cut down on the litter. It may be clean but it is still everywhere!! The scoop seems to miss small pieces of poop. I haven't set it on auto yet so I've been scooping what it misses after it has scooped... I'm hoping I don't run into the problem of it smelling after it's set on auto. Overall, if you CAN'T clean your box this works. So far it's nice and clean and doesn't smell. It runs for a long time to get the litter clean. I'll be keeping the box due to my own health issues and the hassle of trying to box this big thing up. … more
