Combining contemporary shapes with stylish patterns, the Catit Style Patterned Cat Scratcher is a modern twist on conventional scratchers. A cat's need to scratch is instinctive. It helps them to sharpen and remove the dead outer layer of their claws, stretch and flex their bodies and work off energy. The Catit Style Patterned Cat Scratcher with catnip provides your cat with a corrugated scratching surface, while helping to protect your furniture from claw damage.

I get 4 at a time, line them up side-by-side so that the curved ends all match up. My 7 month old - 12 lb - Maine Coon can stretch across all 4 comfortably, while my 7 and 3 year old kitties lay across 2 each comfortably. I might have to get 6 at a time next time so that all 3 of my kitties can share the space at the same time. They do love these particular scratcher/beds. You can flip them over for more use once the top side is worn out, you may want to put a little support under the center though if you do flip it over because of the gap, though all 3 of my kitties can walk and lay on them in the upside down position without buckling them in. A definite keeper.....loved by all my kitties.

5 out of 5 of my kitties gave a 5 paws up....even without the catnip. One of my girls actually likes to sleep on it while the others wish they could....she is the queen of the house. So they have to wait until she moves to use it....or perhaps I will need to buy another one! I like that you can flip it over and use both sides. I have recommended Chewy to several friends so they don't have to haul big bags of dog, cat food and litter from the store. Just have it delivered right to your front door with auto delivery.
Finally one they will use!
on Jan 21, 2018
I have 3 cats and have been trialing many different scratching surfaces and have FINALLY found one they will use. I still have one cat holding out on me, but the other two love to pick at it, sit on it, lay on it, etc. Definitely worth the buy and will be getting a few more here soon.

I bought this didn't think my cat would really like it. I put it down down for him and he inorged it a few days then I rubbed the cat nip on it and now he loves it he sits on it like he's a king he scratches on it and rubs his face all over it. I will say it's a little smaller then I thought but it's all fine and dandy.
Fantastic alternative for Cat Scratch Lounge Refills
on Jan 14, 2018
Be aware that scraps of cardboard fly everywhere if you do not have this inside another scratcher box -- my personal fav the Cat Scratch lounge ($20), making this the cheapest alt for cardboard refills ($5 as of 1/2018) and my cat's favorite sleeping space.
Thanks Chewy, for not inflating prices.

Of course my cat decided that he would rather scratch cardboard than his fancy cat tree... but I had to replace the other cardboard scratcher and chose this one. He hopped on it right away and scratched for about 5 minutes straight. Cat nip is a bonus. Not super big so buy for smaller/only one cat.
Tater-cat's new favorite
on Feb 19, 2018
Our Tater-cat LOVES her scratcher. The catnip was fresh when we got the product and she spent an hour with her new toy straight out of the package. It's now her final landing spot every time she feels the need to run around the room and a napping lounge when she's tired. :) Highly recommended.
Placing on Top of the Flat Scratcher with a Bottom--Works Better
on Jan 20, 2018Top 25 Contributor
Our cats really really like this scratcher--it works both as a scratcher and a lounging place. It's shaped nicely for that.
But, since it does not have a solid bottom, the catnip you sprinkle on the scratcher falls through to the floor. We solved it by placing this on top of a flat scratcher with a bottom, so that our cats enjoy this scratcher a bit higher (which they like), and I don't need to sweep the fallen catnip all the time!
Great 'hangout' seat & scratching pad!
on Jan 15, 2018Top 1000 Contributor
My kitty loves to hang out at the back door to watch the world's activities. So I paired two of these 'scratchers' side by side at the edge of the open doorway to enable her to hangout for hours. With the pair of scratchers next to each other, she has a wide area to sit, watching attentively, or to sprawl out for a long afternoon nap. These pads also make great scratchers. I just sprinkle some crushed catnip on them, & my kitty perks up, ready to claw away.
Uses this more than furniture

My cat is gravitating towards this instead of my furniture. She claws it and chews it. It's holding up very well. I'll be ordering another soon so I can place another one in another spot for her. Def worth a try
