Combining contemporary shapes with stylish patterns, the Catit Style Patterned Cat Scratcher is a modern twist on conventional scratchers. A cat's need to scratch is instinctive. It helps them to sharpen and remove the dead outer layer of their claws, stretch and flex their bodies and work off energy. The Catit Style Patterned Cat Scratcher with catnip provides your cat with a corrugated scratching surface, while helping to protect your furniture from claw damage.

This scratcher has no bottom, because it's curved (others I've bought are flat and sit in a cardboard box). I didn't realize it had no bottom, so when I opened it and poured the packet of catnip over top, it all just poured straight through and onto my table. I felt stupid, but can't imagine why they'd include a packet of powdery catnip for a product that can't actually hold it. A very messy disappointment.
My cat lounges on it all day!

This is my second lounge scratcher purchase. My cats were on it before I'd even unwrapped it from the plastic. They are both attracted to it, one more so. Russell climbs on top of these scratchers all the time. He scratches at it but also sleeps on it, And that's without the extra catnip. As simple as they are, they get the job done.
Russell is a bit chunky at about 10 lb. But he finds ways to curl up or lay across it comfortably.
Some people complain that little pieces of cardboard fall off, but that's kind of expected. I just pick it up and vacuum as needed. Yes, little pieces and shreds fall off, but that's because my cats sharpen their claws on this, as it is the intended purpose.

I've been buying these for several years. They're great for the small space between my easy chairs and the wall where my cats go to rest when the dog gets on their nerves. It gives them something to do. I have five cats so it gets a lot of use and I have to replace it a couple of times a years but I think its well worth the money.
Smaller than it used to be

I’ve been buying this scratcher lounger for my cat every couple months since she was a kitten. She loves it and doesn’t scratch on furniture or the carpet which is great. She loves to scratch on it when she’s in a super playful mood or when she’s throwing a tantrum from just being scolded for going on the kitchen table. However the one we just received is smaller than they usually are so it probably won’t last as long. I know it’s not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things but now it’s smaller for more money. I attached a photo comparing the old one to the new one. And the dimensions are way off. The new one is about 17 1/2 inches long by about 7 1/2 inches wide. The old one was 17 I’ve been buying this scratcher lounger for my cat every couple months since she was a kitten. Smaller than I thought

I (& my cats) love the lounger-style scratchers. Although I don't think I read the description well enough. This was much smaller than expected, both in length and width. Again, this could easily have been my fault. Just wish it was a little bigger, as both of my cats hang off of this fairly easily. Otherwise, it does it's job, so it works just fine!

This is my cat's favorite toy/bed! We put the catnip in it and immediately she loved rolling and rubbing on it as well as scratching and biting at it! It is somewhat of a messy toy as the little cardboard scraps and catnip gets scattered around, but nothing a quick vacuum can't fix! Will be buying again for sure.
messy but worth it

My cat absolutely loves her scratcher, and in fact she has almost scratched up the entire thing. She started using it the moment I took it out of the Chewy box. The only thing to note about this scratcher is that the cardboard pieces will get tracked around your house when your cat scratches at it. The cardboard pieces are easy to suck up in the vacuum.

We have bought quite a few cat scratchers for our kitten. We have gotten this one a few times and this one seems to be her favorite! It holds up well and we flip it over when she has destroyed the first side.
Highly recommend this

I love these!
They’re inexpensive and my cat loves them.
She’s always sharpening her claws every time she walks by one.
I’ve got 2 of them out.
In hopes of her using them and not my furniture!
I mean, it works

So, I was just looking for something cheap that my cat can scratch at. She'll claw at this but it's the most pathetic scratching. You can tell it doesn't get all of her energy out because she comes up afterward and tries to scratch at my shirt or my blanket or whatever else she can scratch at. Plus, it leaves little pieces of cardboard everywhere. There's pieces of cardboard all over the floor and they get stuck to her paws so she drags them into the bed with her. She does scratch it, though, and it comes with a little baggie of cat nip (which I don't recommend using on this particular scratcher because it'll just fall through the cardboard holes and onto the ground).
