I love this little brush, and my cats do too. I set it up on the corner of a cabinet and the cats are constantly rubbing and brushing on it. However, I never saw anything on the website saying that this included dried catnip with it. The ziplock bag that came with it popped open during shipment and confetti'd catnip all over EVERYTHING when I pulled it out of the box! My clothes, my couch, my carpet floors are all VERY cool if you ask my cats. Even after vacuuming everything up, they are rolling around my living room with big eyes!!!

It’s basically a place they can rub their face and shoulders on. I suggest a stronger spray catnip to entice, as well, nail it in.The adhesive pads they offer are better used as a fun sticker..Maybe. 2/4 cats enjoy this when they randomly remember it’s there and only one cat tries to eat it. So. So far so good.
2 out of 4 LOVE it

I used gorilla glue pads to stick them to a corner and both of my girls love it. The catnip holes are a little big but not a big deal since its stationary not much comes out. The bristles are harder plastic but they seem to absolutely love it to scratch their chins and face/head on it.
Surprising Disdain ...

My cat rubs his face all over every corner and/or edge in my home. He especially loves 'bristly' type material or edges. But I've had this self groomer up for about a month and he will not venture near it! Go figure.
Oreo doesn't like it :(
on Nov 23, 2019
We had a difficult time finding a place to attach it to that was low enough for our small cat, Oreo 1.5 years old and 9 pounds, to be able to use it. We ended up attaching it to a corner of our extra large metal pet crate as it was too small to attach to either of our cat trees (as shown in the diagram) and we did not want to nail it to our corner wall. So far he has not used it once in the two weeks we've had it up. Also the bristles are very hard plastic. What's the point if the pet doesn't use it? For that reason I cannot recommend it.
NOTHING WORKS except screws

DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU PLAN TO SCREW THEM IN PLACE. I bought two. Neither one was square enough to fit a corner nor round enough to for a wood pole. The adhesive couldn't hold them in place. Since they were poorly shaped, there wasn't enough surface area for the strips to hold onto the surface it was being mounted to.
The holes where the catnip is placed are so big the catnip falls out all over the floor. The holes are too big and just getting the catnip into the slot provided made a mess!
I'm sure had I been able to mount them my cats would have used them. Just don't buy them unless you are placing them where you can screw them place.
My cats LOVE this thing

I expected them to like it, but sweet jesus the cats go to town with this thing. Like 30 solid minutes at a time of vigerous face scratching. I'll fill it with nip every now and then (which really helped them learn how to use it BTW) but after they figure out how it works you don't even really need it.
Probably the best $4 I've spent on them, lol.
My cats and I are underwhelmed
on Nov 25, 2019
I attached this brush to a corner of my wall at a good height for both my cats. It may just be my cats in particular, but they were more scared of it than anything. If you're looking to purchase this, I might suggest you buy some catnip spray to attract your cats to the product, in hopes that they learn to use it on their own. I don't think my cats behavior is fault of the product, though it might be nice to have a pouch to insert catnip or something to draw the cats attention initially.

With 4 indoor adult cats to satisfy, some are more quick to embrace this than others. My 5-start rating is for the great design and low price. The catnip "hidden" inside provides an invitation to try out the groomer, and all but one of my cats have found it irresistible to do so. I have placed it head high near their feeding area, and the two boys are enthusiastically enjoying the face combing. I have seen one of the girls using it, but the skittish one remains cautious. I think all will eventually use it when they determine that it is not going to "get them". I love the design, simple, practical & sturdy.
they won't touch these

i ordered three of them, because it is a great idea. Maybe the catnip was old, i think i will try the spray catnip and see if that helps. they don't touch them
