Description

You know how meticulous your fur baby is about his “go time.” Create a clean, stress-free routine by keeping his litter box fresh with this Catit Silica Cat Litter. Made from a blend of lavender-scented, activated silica crystals, this mix contains millions of micro pores which dry up moisture and lock in odors on contact. No more need to scoop out urine clumps—silica absorbs and does not clump.

Key Benefits
  • Silica does not clump—only solid waste needs to be removed—meaning you may need to change the litter less frequently.
  • Made from a blend of lavender-scented, activated silica crystals which absorb moisture and lock in odors on contact.
  • Highly absorbent, can soak up large quantities of urine even before odor can be detected.
  • Silica cat litter is suitable for use in any litter box, but is especially useful in automatic litter boxes due to silica granules’ non-stick texture.
  • A clean, pleasant-smelling litter box encourages your cat’s usage.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Instructions
  • Fill a regular size litter pan with 1.5 to 2 inches of Catit Silica Cat Litter.
  • Stir the contents from time to time to enhance the absorption capabilities.
  • If your litter pan is covered with a hood, remove it occasionally to facilitate the evaporation process.
  • Although there are no urine clumps to scoop out, it is recommended to remove the dried feces periodically.
  • After approximately 1 month, discard the entire litter and replace with new litter. (Empty and clean litter box when it becomes excessively soiled.)
  • Dispose in a trash receptacle. Do not flush waste down the toilet or any waste system.
  • For best results, keep your litter pan in a cool, dry and well ventilated area.
  • If your cat has difficulty getting used to Catit Silica Cat Litter, blend in some of the old litter. Gradually reduce the quantity of the old litter as your cat becomes accustomed to the new litter.
  • There may be a completely harmless, soft popping or hissing sound emitted when liquid is absorbed.

Worst product I have ever seen.

    By on

This product is $35 for a 15 lb bag and it was completely useless. My cats would use the litter box but they would not or could not bury their business. Therefore, it just sat on top of the crystals and the smell just permeated throughout the room. I only purchased as a last resort when there was a recent shortage of clay litter. I am now using it up little by little by using it under the clay litter. Maybe if a cat is started with the type of litter but I have three adult cats of varying size and none of them seemed to use it properly between the 2 litter boxes in my home. So I would not recommend this product to anyone especially considering the price.

    Wow! This product works!

We’ve dealt with cat litter/smell for years. My husband came up stairs yesterday and made the comment that there was absolutely no smell in the basement! That’s saying something! Not going back to other cat litter.

    This stuff is awful!

    By on

The granules are way too big. The cats cannot paw through it. They have to just do their business on top of it and leave it there. I won’t buy it again.

    Another Disappointment

    By on

Unfortunately, I could only give it one star. While I loved the concept, neither of my fur-kids would use it. One of them did her "business" on the stair landing twice and the other held himself for 2 days until I switched back to their usual clay clumping litter.
