I think the key to making this a great item is having a great treat your cats like. Im trying to find treats that our cats really like and just can't wait for - and will then see a lot more interest in trying to get to the treats. With this item you can actually turn it to where either the fill hole or the dispensing hole are sized to the treat, so smaller sized treats don't just spill out all over the floor. When you see one of your cats "figured it out" and actually makes it roll to specifically get a treat - that's what makes it a great item. Its a good size, interesting design, built well, nice price. I can't see ever needing to buy another one, it should last a long time, but definitelyI think the key to making this a great item is having a great treat your cats like. Most Challenging Puzzle
on Nov 23, 2019
Out of the 4 puzzles I bought, I'm refilling this one least. Kitty has to work to get the food out by batting it around. It doesn't "pay out" as fast as some of the other puzzles so they tend to move on. But they did discover this puzzle first. Puzzle does have 2 holes: 1 big for loading food and 1 small for food to fall out.
Great option for feeding!
on Nov 22, 2019
I bought one in June for my 3 month old kitten as a second option for feeding. He LOVES it! He is now 8 months old and he no longer eats out of a bowl. We now have 2 balls. It is the best one I have found so far. A little over half a cup of Iams kitten food will fit in one ball.
This isn't really a review but...

This isn't really a review but a question.
Did you guys buy the same toy? "it's too easy, it's too hard," maybe it is the size of treat/food you are using.
Fun Fun Fun

This ball has an adjustable opening for different size treats. I don't give treats but her dry food goes in and out nicely. She seems to enjoy chasing and batting it around.
The only toy my yorkie plays with
on Oct 8, 2019
I bought a few of these for my yorkie. She isnt playful/hasnt ever played with any other toys... However, she does a very good job at rolling these around (thanks to holding small pellets and treats!) which keep her busy and active. She always looks at me when the ball is empty like "c'mon, fill it again!"

I bought this in 2018....good foraging toy so that they eat their dry food slowly and have to work for it as felines’ instinctually do in the wild....but it broke in the middle at the seam. Don’t really feel comfortable super gluing it as the toxins would seep into their food and in turn their body. I have a bpa free cup with top where the hole was dremmeled custom to which food they eat so that food easily falls out when working the toy but not too easy where there is kibble all over the floor and that lasted longer than this toy. Also to mention, it is way easier to reload it with food.
FUR BABIES DIDN'T LIKE IT
on Oct 29, 2019
They tried for a while, but couldn't get it to spin in the right orbit for the treats to fall out so now it sits in the corner totally ignored.
I wanted to give zero stars, but couldn't escape without picking one.
Hole is too big, treats all fall out easily
on Aug 27, 2019
I purchased the temptationz mouse treat toy for my other cat, which was a big hit. I decided to get this one for my newest kitten because he loves to swat and chase things. What I don't like about this one, though, is that it's so easy for the treats to come out of the hole. You roll it across the floor once and all the treats you've put in are all out already. It would've benefitted from a smaller hole to make it a bit more challenging, so that one or two treats might come out, but not all 8 of them. I'd hoped it'd keep the cat busy for hours. I might try to tape half of the hole and make it smaller and more challenging.
Good For Multiple Things

This treat ball has what we call “easy” and “hard” modes. We use temptations treats in it, and they don’t easily fall out of the smaller hole, but do out of the bigger one. We sometimes will create our own “medium” mode by covering the bigger hole halfway. The treats themselves sometimes get stuck in between the spiral and the wall, but a good smack will get them back. I’d say overall this is a great toy and our cat begs us for it every night!
