I have an eight month old kitten who needed to get a little bit of extra energy out and this ball works perfect! I put her favorite food in the ball, and her and her twin sister free-range on another food. So when Truffle's in need of some extra entertainment, she'll play with this for hours. The ball has the ability to twist it to make it more difficult for her so the food won't come out as quickly.
I do wish it were easier to put the food into the ball -- in order to put food into the ball, you have to scoop it through the same hole that the food comes out (as opposed to taking the cap off or something). The design could use a little work. But I am ordering another one just the same -- I have an eight month old kitten who needed to get a little bit of extra energy out and this ball works perfect! My kitten loves it!
on Mar 20, 2018
Got this because my kitten was eating too quickly. He loves it! It took him about 30 seconds to figure it out on the easiest setting, and now he gets all his meals in it and just happily rolls it around. The food comes out a little too easily with his kitten kibble, but once he switches to adult sized kibble it'll be perfect.
The downsides are it's a little hard to fill, but definitely worth it for the entertainment it gives him.
Kitty stimulated, entertained, & rewarded
on Jan 31, 2018
Our cat Frisky loves her treats (her weight might say a little too much at times - lol)
As she is very food motivated, this gives her a good way to have some fun and then see and enjoy the reward. We set the opening to a smaller size to raise the difficulty level for her so she has to work at getting her treats.
Our other kitties were intently watching “Frisky’s” treat toy process - so we purchased a second treat ball & set the opening all the way open so they just fall out easy - they are still figuring out if it’s okay since Frisky stares at them (...but can’t guard 2 at a time - haha)
Great toy & treat dispenser !!!
Cat has no interest in this toy
on Mar 20, 2018
I thought this was a pretty clever idea. Well, the cat doesn't think so. He doesn't want anything to do with it. I don't know if it's because he finds the ball to be too heavy to play with or he's just too lazy to "work for his treat." My cat is happier playing with something small he just happened to find on the floor, playing under the rugs, and chasing his own tail.
Super easy to drop treats
on Jan 20, 2018
I wanted so badly to live this toy. The idea is perfect but the toy itself is poorly designed. When my cat plays with it several treats fall out all at once and my cat hardly does any playing. If they could fix that one problem I’d definitely rate it a five star. I sooo badly want to love this.
Too small for greenies
on Feb 23, 2018
I bought this specifically for Greenies cat treats but the whole that the treats should come out of when the cat plays with it is too small so I have to keep the side open that you normally put the treats in, at least until I find smaller treats for it.
Cat treat toy
on Mar 17, 2018
This was a neat idea, and it worked okay. Our cat would roll it around to get the treats out. But it only lasted a few days until she rolled it down the basement steps (carpeted) and it broke apart. Snapped it back together, but it wouldn't stay.
great toy to stimulate predator behavior

Indoor cats get bored easily, and my part serval (savannah, F2) especially so. This toy is great for him as it keeps him busy for some time (I close off the hole, so it's harder to get the food out). He pushes it all around the house, using his face and his paws. So cute.
We have tried two kinds or treets and they get stuck.
on Feb 6, 2018
Treats seem to get stuck between the inside of the ball and the edges of the ramp inside (they don't completely meet). Also it does not appear to be easy to wash out because it does not open up, you have to clean it through the small hole.
Love the Look

I really haven't given these to Sapphire or Diablo yet as since they are Christmas presents, but just by looking at them I am sure they will have hours of fin with the toy. They really like puzzle treat toys, I only wish there were more.
