Good Treat Dispenser
This is the second treat dispenser I’ve used for him. Both were good in their own way. The last was a wheel he spun to get the treats out. This one he bats around the floor. Both he figured out pretty quickly but they still kept him entertained and spread out the treats over a period of time instead of rapid delivery. As someone else stated, the Temptations brand treats work well with this. Also as stated in another review, this is more or less impossible to clean but I’m only using dry treats. I should be fine for a few months and at that point, I’ll just buy a new dispenser. At that point it will be time for a new challenge anyway. Overall I would recommend this product.
Nice concept but didn't work
The solid plastic structure and large size makes it not so attractive for a cat to play with. Quite loud on a hard floor which spooks them. Even with the food inside, my two cats never really grasped the concept and the food would just get stale inside while they moved on with their lives.
Treats too small
I have been using treats I already have however theyre too small and get stuck between the slide and the clear wall. Need a precisely sized treat. Big enough not to get stuck but small enough to fit out of the hole. My cat loves it though!
One cat gets it. The other cat doesn't. Works well with Temptations treats. One cat walks around it trying to figure out where the goodies are. (Not smart, but beautiful.) The other cat rolls it and follows to pick up the treats. (Also beautiful, but smart and endlessly curious.)
Perfect treat ball
Chase absolutely loves when I put treats into this and place it on the ground. I love that it challenges him both mentally and physically as he follows the ball around the room trying to release the treats. There is a slide losing that allows you to change the size of the opening which I use to reduce the opening creating a bigger challenge. Chase is very food driven, so this is a great way for him to get challenged.
He's sooo addicted to it!
Took him a couple minutes to figure it out, but once he did, game on! You'd thought that it had kitty crack in it the way he plays with it, but it's only his tuna flavored treats. Have to purchase a new one because somehow he managed to roll it under my recliner (unbeknownst to me) & it broke when I tried to get up out of the recliner. You would have thought the world was coming to an end that very second that he realized it was broke. He's been yowling & howling the blues, so his new one cannot come soon enough. Would have attached a video of him playing with it before it broke, but it wouldn't let me upload it for some reason.
A solid okay
My cat loved it for about two weeks before some of the plastic on the inside broke and the entire top part came loose. Not exactly something you want to have happen for a toy that holds food. My cat wasn't unusually rough with this toy or anything, the materials are just not durable enough for this toy, or the toys design is just really bad.
My cat's favorite toy!
My cat LOVES this treat ball! I've bought several of these and this is the only one where all of the treats don't fall out at once. It works very well with the Temptations hard treats. I put a handful of treats in the ball and it takes him a few hours to get them all out. He likes being able to see where they are inside the ball as he rolls it around. I can see him working to figure it out and it keeps him from crying when I'm on a Zoom call. I've had it for almost a year now and it's still working very well.
Treat ball disaster
Fun for my cat but annoying to fill. I have a cat treat container much easier to fill from friskies. Weebles wobble and the treats fall out. It is easier to fill and doesn't get pushed under a chair or into a corner. I would not buy again.
Good for keeping kitten out of trouble
I like this toy because it keeps my kitten from destroying things. When I hear the rattle of the treats, I'm happy! He is able to smell the treats and once in a while one falls out to keep him interested. I was surprised to find the toy the first time with all the treats gone!
