My cat did not like how much it wobbles. She does not enjoy it, only time she steps on this is when I place treats and you can see how much it shakes. When tighten as so it will not wobble as much the bottom board began to fall apart as the screws are in there tightly. Needs more supports and made by something stronger for older adult cats. She likes to scratch her lil claws on the bottom post but that is as much use she gets out of it.
I bought this when we first adopted our cat and she loved it. However, when we re-purchased this item after we moved and it is not the same as it was. The carpet is cheap and comes off easy, the top parts are now made of cardboard instead of wood, the poles are lose and the whole thing tips over if the cats jump off it when there's nothing preventing it. The only reason I've not tossed it yet is because the cats seem to enjoy scratching the dark middle pole.
Assembled this little cat tree very easily. I have two kittens and I wasn't sure if they'd like vertical or horizontal scratching or a kind of material (this one has all three) Tightened every screw and our 6 pound kittens make it wobble, we plan on attaching it to something more stable later on but thought to mention if you have a bigger cat
Quality of the material itself is nice, but the manufacturing isn't very good. The base is just too narrow to be stable for any cat weighing more than 1 or 2 lbs, it tips over very easily even with weights on the bottom to steady it. Also, when I was assembling, I ran into an issue with the bottom piece's holes being misaligned - had to take a drill to it and alter it myself to put it together.
I didn't see where this was made for "kittens" and not cats. Ended up using for spare parts rather than return. Base was too small and definitely not sturdy.
Does not look as nice in person and was fraying at the bottom before it was even assembled.
In the past we've gotten Frisco cat trees from Chewy. Similar sized ones were out of stock, so tried this catry model. Cup and shelf are nice, but slightly smaller than we are used to. Base is light and smaller than expected- tree tips over partially when full grown cat hops off, but doesn't quite tip over. We may screw to a heavier board to prevent topples. Maybe this is called a 'kitten tree' not a 'cat tree'. Not hard to put together (similar to Frisco, so we knew the drill.)
It serves it’s purpose at least for now, it is very lightweight and unstable and I have small cats. My cats do like it but if you have a skittish cat they might be afraid of it
My kittens like it, however even they were able to tip it over. I’m worried about how it will hold up when they start getting bigger. Works for what it is though
Overall extremely happy with this purchase. My partner and I bought this item for our 7 month old border collie mix who has a lot of anxiety when it comes to crates and small spaces. We’ve been struggling with finding a perfect crate for a reasonable price. Although this is meant to be a playpen it works wonderfully as a crate too! Our puppy loves that he can stand up comfortably and have plenty of space to move around. Even our cat loved it! Two thumbs up :)
