Additional Details

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

This is excellent litter for my kitten. It does create alot of dust so it is wise to take both the litter box and the litter outside and pour it in. Dont fill your litter box to full so its not to heavy to put back inside. Shake up the litter until you see no more dust. It also helps cover your driveway under a car that leaks fluids or to cover ice spots under icy conditions as well as for a litter box. And 20 pounds for $4 is a very good deal. It has no excess scents or dyes so it causes no allergies. Ot doesnt clump but the urine darkens the granules. It will smell strong in ammonia if the entire litterbox is not changed once a month. • One of the original clay litters left on the market

I try to keep as much irritants away from the cats when they use the litter pan. Hartz used to make the exact same thing, and stopped seeing it in any store. Then I used to be able to get this in Walmart. Gone again. It is almost all clay and nice size nuggets. Iggy, Moto, Mary and Monk all seem to like it also.

  • Works with Odor Control

    By on

My indoor only cat is declawed front and back, rescued her this way, and she will not use the fine grain clumping litter box to poo in. It absorbs the smell like the clumping litter which is great! I do put about an inch or two of clumping on the bottom of the box, non-clumping just doesn't cut it when it comes to urine.

  • Not well pleased with this litter.

    By on

I tried this litter for the first time. I was not pleased with the results. You could see there was an ordor control mixed in with the litter. The litter clumped the cat poop, but it did not clump the urine at all and the smell of the litter after cat had urinated in the box was awful.

  • Cat's Pride litter

I didn't expect to like this product (my cats and I are very picky) but I decided to try it and am very pleased. I will continue to buy it. I always use 2-3 types of litter which i alternate/mix (gray type, corn & similar types, or mixtures of pine, corn, etc) and this is now on my list with Arm&Hammer litter products (and a couple of other brands). I will most likely alternate Cats Pride with A&H (because I try to only buy non-scented products and this Cats' Pride has a scent to it--so-called "light scent" products are still scented and i do not like anything about scents in products; our society is nuts to create such foolish and harmful products). What i look for in cat litter: non-scented, inexpensive, biodegradable, natural, fully safe for animals, humans, and environment. As yet, there is no perfect product available that i know of. … more

Pros: Good absorbtion, scent isn't too strong Cons: Tracks EVERYWHERE. I think they brought more into the bed than stayed in the boxes lol

  • Great for reading kitties

    By on

When i buy cat food for Widget and Winger to get to total for shipping i add this. I then load it up and it goes to thecrading kitties at KYOVA mall here in Ashland KY. Tbe kitties are from tbe AARF shelter and local elementary kids with reading issues are bussed in to read to the kitties as the library ( which helps run it) says most think of toys food not litterboxes!
