Description

Help protect your furry pal from annoying pests that can spread disease with the Cedarcide Original Biting Insect Dog & Cat Spray. This chemical-free, lab-tested formula uses the power of plants—from natural cedar wood oil—to kill and repel fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, bed bugs, mites, and chiggers, with no toxins or DEET. To help control infestations on your pal, simply spray and massage into his coat anytime you need it, and let the formula work on contact—thanks to its lab-tested effectiveness of 99% kill rate for fleas. Not only will it work on any fleas and ticks that are on your pal, but it will help form a pest-repelling barrier when used regularly. Since it’s made with 100% natural, eco-friendly ingredients, it’s non-toxic and safe to use around the whole family, and it won’t stain clothes, fabrics, or upholstery. Plus, you will love the fresh cedar scent and its non-oily, quick-drying formula which makes for no more slippery coats!

    We like the fragrance

How great is it to have pets that smell like a pile of fresh cedar shavings? Yes it’s oily at first but the oil works its way into their coat and dissipates within the first hour or so. And that applies to dogs with a thick coat like my Husky, curly-coated dogs like my, umm, “schnoodle” and dogs with a very short summer haircut like my Weeniewawa. I also used it on the cats. The fleas are bad this year because we had a mild winter and lots of rain and I’m using this in between their regular flea meds. I wish I could use just a natural flea preventative but none work that well. And that kind of applies here as well. It gives my pets relief but it doesn’t last long. Works well for biting flies

    By on

We tried other deet-free remedies for biting flies (like white vinegar that worked fairly well but stinks so it made me less inclined to let the dog in bed to say good morning). This Cedarcide smells ... well, like cedar, and is oil-based so it stays on a bit better if the dog jumps in the river on a walk. She's a shorthair so I spray it on her nearly-hairless belly, on the backs of her ears, then spray it on my hands and run them over her muzzle and closed eyes.

    Not very effective

    By on

Friend recommended I try this product for controlling fleas in my rescue. When I first rubbed onto young kittens with fleas it looked like the fleas were falling off. But couple hours later still had tons of fleas. I sprayed the kennels and got fresh bedding. Applied a second time with same results. Liked the smell just didn't have a lasting effect.

    Didn’t help here

    By on

I purchased this after reading many positive reviews but, sadly, it didn’t do much for us except make my 3 cats and dog’s coats greasy! To be fair, I’ve been using frontline and it’s become totally ineffective as well!

    Amazing product

So, this year has been AWFUL for ticks in Maine. After each walk (every day) with my dog, I was pulling off upwards of 30 ticks every single day. I was so desperate, I started using bug spray with DEET in it just to see if it would help quell the ticks. I decided on a whim to try this, and by god... this stuff WORKS!!! I'm not saying it's infallible, but I'm going from pulling 30+ ticks off my poor pup to about ~10. That's 2/3 less ticks!! It's seriously a HUGE improvement. Please note, I'm living in a tick INFESTED area, and have done extensive work to reduce ticks around my yard, etc., but when we are on walks along the road, there is little else you can do besides medicate (I do), spray (I So, this year has been AWFUL for ticks in Maine. THANK YOU FOR THIS AWESOME SPRAY!!! My pup smells like a closet, but we aren't fighting the ticks nearly as bad! And no DEET! … more

    Play mosquito free

    By on

The mosquito's, black flies, ticks and horse flys have been horrendous this year. Primarily the mosquito's with all the rain we had. Cedarcide gave my two pups the relief from the bugs they needed. They now enjoy being outside without being food for the bugs. I have used it on myself when outside weeding the gardens and before I put it on the horse flies were buzzing all around me. As soon as I put this on they left me alone.

    Biting flies

    By on

Love that this product worked on both dogs and cats. Live on a farm with lots of cattle around. The biting flies are terrible. Sprayed the dog and cat and they stopped bothering them immediately. Felt safe using it ,if the animals licked it off. Would recommend this product..

    Kills ticks and fleas!

    By on Top 500 Contributor

All natural and kills ticks and fleas. I'm very pleased with this purchase. My first thoughts were, it's very expensive, that Cedarcide was too oily, but as it dried, it was not oily. The first smell of Cedarcide left me wondering whether, I liked it or not, but the smell leaves quickly, or i just got used to it. I've been using Cedarcide for about two weeks now and I will never be without it, because Cedarcide works!!! The price is worth it because my dogs and cats are now tick and flea free. I love the fact that Cedarcide is safe for my pets and my family. My favorite way to use it, is in a spray bottle. I spray my pets every time they come into the house from outside.
