There are a lot of things to like about this collar. The only odd thing was that the packaging suggested there was a QR code on the collar somewhere that I ought to be registering. Nothing in the item description mentioned this, and there is no QR collar on the collar, so I have no clue what that was about! Additionally, I don't know about 'Chai's Choice' as a brand; mine says it is made by 'Winhyepet' and that is what those large, darker letters on the collar spell out. It doesn't make any difference to me, though. Onto the good: it's nicely padded which keeps the interior from grabbing onto my dog's neck fur. I love that there is a hefty, big O ring for leash clipping versus a lighter duty, smaller ring. (Note: if your lead doesn't use a traditional bolt or trigger clasp or has a very small clasp, it may not be able to accommodate the size of this O ring! I have one lead with a carabiner-style/lobster claw clasp and it actually doesn't open wide enough to get around the O ring.) I love the little band with the snap closure adjacent to the O ring. I put the tags on there and I can put them under the band so they don't jingle constantly. It also reduces wear on the tags which can obscure the engraving and keeps them from coming into contact with the elements constantly. I feel like they're still quite visible if someone needed to ID my dog using the tags. I like that you feed one end of the collar through the O ring before buckling it, too. It just feels sturdier. The collar fits my dog just the way I want it to--loose enough to rotate and not be binding, not so loose that he can easily back out of it if he wanted to. He's not quite dolichocephalic so collar-slipping isn't a huge issue, but his head isn't THAT much wider than his neck such that it wouldn't be any possibility. It's held up well so far to winter--snow and rain. Overall, other than the minor confusion about the brand name and the packaging, and the discovery that one of my leads won't work due to the O ring...I think it's a great collar.
My dogs are large and wear large collars with room to spare. This is the first large collar that was too small. Now I have to male a return...
Bought 2, one for chi-x (10pounds) and one for doxie (8 pounds). Way too thick/wide for tiny dogs. Looks to be beautiful quality, but they've downsized how small you can make the neck (to buckle) without downsizing the actual size.
I love this collar!Best choice I made! Very happy Very fast shipping!!
