Catching urine
Bought this mainly for a way to catch urine samples instead of jury rigging something every time we need to catch urine. The Dannon Light + Fit greek yogurt cups actually fit in the ring. Haven’t tried the small plastic party drink cups but think those would fit too. Our older girl has some incontinence recently so wanted to have a urine test available at home (besides easier way to collect urine). Haven’t done the urine test yet so only reason for 4 stars right now.
First time using
I bought this product as a first timer. It was easy to use and understand. I was at first a little nervous because I didn’t know if my dog would pee in the cup but thanks to this product that comes with an extender it made things less awkward for my dog and I. I would recommend for anyone to use

I bought this product because my dog Lily was acting a bit strange but I did not want to risk a covid exposure by going to the veterinarian (I am high risk myself). I thought my dog would not urinate with the pole and cup underneath her (plus she is a small dog - a chihuahua mix), however I cut the cup halfway down as per the suggestion I read somewhere. I was able to easily catch all of the urine in the cup, and it didn't bother her at all! Turns out her UTI levels were positive and when I took her in to the vet, he said we had caught it right in the nick of time. Lily is getting the proper medication now and I will absolutely be buying the CheckUp wellness kit again! Thank you :)
So easy to use!
I bought this kit over others for the telescopic pole (which can be used with other cups in the future) and purchased a container of other, bigger results, test strips to use with it. My cane corso had a UTI and this kit was great to get her urine sample to the vet and also for home testing after to make sure we are in the clear! A+ for ease of collection and transportation of urine sample. The product works very well!
CheckUp Test Kit
Ordered this kit to see if my FurKid had any issues. Kit was easy to use and strip check was not that bad - would prefer either more time or for the results on the strip to be permanent.
DON’T. Buy!!
It only gives you 2 strips. I take a small bowl disinfect it and only use it to take the urine from my girls. I put the strip into the urine and wait. I disinfect the bowl and reuse it. You don’t need the rest of that’s in the box just strips. Don’t waste ordering this.

I ordered this for my 2 year old GSD because his fur in front of his penis was hard from his urine. He’s my first boy dog and I was worried that he may have a UTI or bladder infection. So I bought this, caught his urine, and read the results as instructed within 30 seconds (60 for blood). The results said my boy had high ph and high protein. After that I was scared. Made a vet appt, caught more urine for them and paid $30+ the vet visit to find out his urine is fine.Nothing was off. Vet explained there are glands and discharges from boys that that can happen from. I completely wasted money on this test. I am VERY disappointed. I spent over $100 ( including this test) to find out my boy is fine.
Very handy kit to have.
This was a very useful kit and saved me a trip to vet. Comes with two tester strips so I used both to double check result. No symptomatic behavior after testing so I am confident test results were correct. I had doubts about being able to get urine sample while my dog pees outside because she is a girl and squats very low. But even though she looked at me like what in the world is that... she lifted a little and I got plenty to use for test. Wait the second it takes for dog to get a stream flowing then gently, calmly move cup in under to catch. It works. So have faith! This is also a supply item you keep as it will, no doubt, come in handy again. The ONLY improvement I would recommend to manufacturer is to make the collection cup plastic. It is a coated paper cup and although it is gently washable, it is not a repetative use item. Would make it easier to bring sample to vet if necessary as well. But I am very happy with product and do recommend to pet owners.
urine leaks thru papercup
Handle to hold cup is convienent to catch urine sample and strips are easy to use. However, the urine leaks right thru the bottom of paper cup. Not sure accuracy of strips. It indicated issues, but had sample tested by vet and resulted in no issues.

This was great. I just got it as an extra to check on my dogs health and much to my surprise one of my dogs did have a UTI poor thing idk how long she had that for I had no idea! I took a sample to be tested at the vet to see that it was accurate and it was indeed she did have crystals and a bad UTI. So grateful I randomly decided to get This! She is much happier now
