I'm frustrated with the lack of clear specifics as to what you get in this order. You have multiple listings for this product. Could you be clear in what we get for the cost? For example...included is one door & hardware to install...motor (etc.) sold separately...
Answer by Chewy • Nov 08, 2020
This item includes the Automated Door Opener, 4 AA Batteries, 4 Large Pointed Screws and 4 Large Flat Screws. It does not include a door.

What is the difference between the standard and the "Premium" motor????
Answer by Chewy • Apr 23, 2021
There is no difference between the Standard and Premium motor. There is only a difference with the Extreme motor, which is more powerful than the Standard and Premium, as is it able to lift up to 8 pounds.

Can you set this to open the door and choose to not close it?
Answer by Chewy • Aug 11, 2020
The closing can be set to manual so the unit will not close unless you do it.

Where can you buy the usb cable that goes with it?
Answer by Chewy • Dec 07, 2020
This door opener can use any USB (A to A) cord, and USB charger.

Love this thing!

Best investment ever! No more rushing home to close up the coop. The door opener has worked in the most extreme temperatures from upper 90s to as low as -30f! I change the batteries about every 6-7 months. Never had an issue with a chicken getting stuck either, door closes super slow. I have a light weight wood panel door. Not sure what others are using but this isn't a guillotine...its not meant for a heavy steal door.

It works too well.

So I just got finished installing it today. Works just as it should. Only chickens are pretty stupid. My rooster just got it’s head trapped under the door as the door came down. On day 1. Doubt he will make it. Maybe the door should be made of something lighter so they can still move if they do this. Not real happy losing a rooster to the device that was supposed to keep them safe.
