Hamster almost died

Please watch your hamster (or other small animal) closely with this water bottle. We got it for our hamster and he was unable to get enough water out because of the leak proof system. It was too hard for him to move the metal ball to get water. He almost died and we didn’t realize that this was the problem until it was almost too late. Thank God we figured it out and got him a regular water bottle.

Does the job, doesn’t leak

I have pet guinea pigs, and their water bottles were always a pain to deal with. All too often I’d go to clean a cage and discover that the bedding was soaked in a large area near the bottle. So far I haven’t had any problems with this bottle; the piggies can get the water without any difficulty, and the bottle doesn’t continue dripping/leaking after they’re done drinking. The fact that it’s a cute print is also nice, although of secondary importance. I’ll be buying my water bottles here from now on. Thanks!

I didn’t like it

The instructions say to press on the ball every so often to make sure water is coming out and water is almost never coming out or barely coming out when I do this. I can’t trust that it is going to give her water consistently.

Water Bottle

I have tried all sorts of water bottles for our chinchilla (Iris), all of them leaked at some time or another. But then I saw this one one the chewy website and read the reviews and the reviews are correct. This water bottle is awsome and does not leak at all. Iris can drink without water coming out like a water fall. Believe me that it is a awsome water bottle for your small animal. I am so hype about this water bottle, that I am going to get another as a back up.

I like it

The ball gets stuck every once in a while and you have to tap it for your critters to be able to drink from it. Doesn't happen often. But the first time it did - it was a few days before I noticed (poor things). Otherwise, I like the design and it works great. Its a little hard to clean inside - make sure you get a brush that fits it.

thought it was good but it isn’t

I bought these little while back for my chinchillas but within short time they started leaking everywhere and one of melt balls came out on bottle almost killing one of my animals. Please don’t buy these

Breaks easily

I loved the no/little drip on this bottle but found the screw breaks very easily when tightening it to the cage. Also only has vertical groves which makes it difficult to secure to horizontal cages.

Bought this water bottle because my previous one leaked constantly. This was advertised as leak proof and had many positive reviews. This bottle leaks as much as my previous one. It is more expensive and a real disappointment. I feel I wasted my money.

doesn’t leak…

It doesn’t leak which is great! The bottle is very small and they blast through the water super quickly. My highest issue is that the inside of the cap kept growing algae on it between refills every couple of days.

This water bottle is super easy to remove and refill and clean. rarely drips
