Gone in Sixty Seconds
This is a cool toy, flew well and my dogs loved chasing it. The frame, some kind of rubber or plastic tips and piping, were gone in basically sixty seconds. Okay, gone in less than sixty minutes though. My destructive hound/terrier mix had destroyed it quickly, but we still have the remnant body of Chuckit Squirrel and the dogs enjoy carrying the remnant around the yard, but for the price I paid I should have just stopped at the fabric store.
Boomerangs--not great for small dogs
My Havanese liked the look of it and I had fun throwing it--it gets some real lift. Only problem is that it boomerangs back as Zorro chases it, and it's a bit heavy. It hit him a couple times and now he doesn't like playing fetch with it anymore. Might be fine for larger dogs or dogs that can catch a frisbee, but not good for my little dummy.
My puppy loves to get outside to jump and try to catch the flying squirrel. I finally got the hang of how to throw so it soars and lands. My lil guy loves chewing the soft corners on the back since he is teething. So happy with this purchase and sure other fur parents will be too. The flying squirrel is made with quality material but I still monitor his playtime with it.
Easy for dogs to pick up
This is fantastic. I like the way it flies, even though I am an inconsistent thrower, but the thing that matters most is that the shape makes it easy for dogs to pick up & retrieve. Maggie loves it. She flips it up while prancing back with it in her mouth.
This is by for the toughest toy I ever bought from Chewy! My dog loves it! Even if we’re not tossing it to him outside, he will lay indife and try to work the corners with no luck! Keeps him busy and has not yet been compromised. He loves it. Great purchase
Perfect First Frisbee
My puppy loves to chase balls but I wanted more variety in his learning months so I bought this. FABULOUS! It flies slowly so he can keep up with it. He hasn't caught it yet but soon! Also he loves to chew on the hard corners and especially the gum-massaging material. Great teething toy! (I now have 3, "just in case".)
My Goldie gives this 5 stars!
Bought this for my active 1 year old golden retriever. She gets excited just at the sight of this toy. Not sure it is for all dogs. My two older dogs have there own games they like to play and they leave this flying squirrel to my younger more energetic Goldie who loves to attempt to jump up and grab it before it hits the ground. I had read reviews saying it didn’t fly very well, but others who claimed it did, with that in mind from the beginning I didn’t try to throw it like a ball. Instead, holding it by one of the corners I curl it in toward my body then uncurl my arm as I toss it (hope that makes sense). This causes it to “fly” great!
Just Ok- nothing special
It's just OK. I love all of the other ChuckIt! items but this one doesn't really go far and frankly my dog wasn't super interested in chasing it. Overall, would stick with the other ChuckIt! brand balls and launchers over this.
Keeps my 13 week lab puppy focused
Parker loves this 'frisbee'. Right now we're working on bringing it back to me (lol) but he loves to chase after it, continuously... and feels so proud when he gets it
WE RESCUED THIS AMAZING ANIMAL AND WHO KNOWS WHY WHEN YOU WOULD TRY TO THROW A STICK HE WOULD HOOVER DOWN. THIS HAS MADE HIM VERY HAPPY HE KNOWS IT HIS AND ITS PLAY TIME
