NOT A WATER TOY!
By CMARC on May 27, 2021
I bought two of these for my Australian Shepherds thinking that they were water toys that floated. The description stated that it was fun for dogs in the water, but after the third throw in the lake, it sank! I was lucky enough that it didn't sink in very deep water and I was able to retrieve it (after much effort). It is now a land toy, and honestly it is too heavy for that use. If you are looking for a tough land toy and have a large dog, this may be a good toy for you. But if you are looking for a water toy or have small dogs, steer clear of this one!

Waaaay to heavy for my dog!
By Tracker on Aug 22, 2020
I never would have bought this if I knew how heavy it was. And to think it would be even heavier when filled with water! My dog is a sturdy miniature Australian shepherd. He can handle most things, but I'm not sure I want to try this toy out on him. It's too heavy for me to cart around to places where we play.

My make OES loves it!

Great tug toy! Other tug toys are not nearly as safe.

Harder and heavier than anticipated
By KathyB on May 22, 2020
My dog is addicted to ChuckIt Fetch Wheels but he wears them out in about 6 weeks so I tried this as a more durable alternative. But its weight is a detriment for us because when I throw it, sometimes he is directly under and it hits him--which is not a problem with the much-lighter Fetch Wheel. So we will keep this one as a back-up but I would probably not order one again for the purpose of throwing it.

please never discontinue this

This is the only toy our German shepherd will play with outside. Her last one was played with until it was falling apart, it took a good year or so of heavy outdoor use to get to that point. We had a hard time finding this again in stores, so when we tried to replace with other similar toys, she’d ignore them and insist on playing with her old battered one. I was excited to find it on chewy in time for Xmas, but part of me was afraid she would reject a new one just because she was so attached to her old one. Fortunately that wasn’t the case! We took her outside and threw it across the yard and she played with it like she was a puppy again! She loves it so much, and I don’t know how, but it actually This is the only toy our German shepherd will play with outside. My dog still can chew off pieces of it. Loves to play fetch and tug with it.

Big & heavy duty rubber material is bouncy & rolls & floats...what else can a shepherd & lab ask for???
