Questions & Answers

11 Customer Questions

Is this ball durable for light chewing of an aggressive chewing dog (as in chewing on it while I’m trying to get the ball out of my dog’s mouth)?
Answer by ChewyMay 11, 2019
This ball is built and designed for an exciting game of kickball. Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

Are chuckit balls manufactured in the USA?
Answer by ChewyApr 25, 2019
These balls are made in Vietnam.

Is this ball machine washable?
Answer by ChewyJun 13, 2018
This ball is not machine washable. Spot clean only.

What is the DIAMETER of the large and small balls? The stated "7.605 x 8.5 x 9.5 inches" does not answer this question.
Answer by ChewyJun 14, 2021
The Small ball measures 2-inches in diameter and the Large ball measures 3-inches in diameter.

Dog Loves this Toy

I purchased the smaller version of this. My dog loves this I believe because of the grooved areas and he is able to run around with it in his mouth. It is quite pricey which is why I only gave it 4 stars.

Chuckit for the WIN

My crazy dog is an aggressive chewer and obsessed with fetch. I can throw this or I can kick it. He can easily pick it up and it is easy on this teeth. I’m on my second ball because one time I got distracted and he got down to business chewing. Watch your pup to ensure they are just carrying it around or nudging it and not chewing it.

Chuck it kick fetch ball

Super durable and very entertaining for our 90 pound German Shepherd. He plays soccer with it with his nose, carries it in his mouth and runs after it like crazy. Great purchase.

Great for throwing/kicking/tugging

My dogs love this and have gone through several. It's great that the inside is foam and can't be punctured/deflated, so it lasts longer than a soccer ball would. The shape also helps them grab it (one dog is 65lbs, the other 75lbs). Their favorite activity is for me to throw the ball, they both run to get it, then they play tug with it. Given this habit, the tough fabric outside and foam inside gives up eventually and one of them rips it up over the course of a week. Then it's time to order a new one. Each ball usually lasts at least 1-2 months.

Nope! So disappointed

I have been wanting this for my 1 1/2 y/o black lab for awhile. On sale so I grab. She destroyed after 1 day. She had a hard time getting in mouth and got mad so destroyed it. So mad that I even paid the $25. This ball is NOT approved by labs.

My first Golden Retriever enjoyed this ball outdoors for 4 years. It froze in the winter and was soft in summer. It was great! My second Golden “played” with this same ball for 6-8 months and it was destroyed. She played with it, but also chewed it up. The life of this ball depends on your dog.

Dog Approved

Our dog is ball obsessed and she was very excited to receive this on her birthday this year. It is now one of her go to toys. She'll chew on it, throw it around, or just run around with it in her mouth.

Love it - favorite toy now.

Love the fact that it’s soft but our sheepadoodle hasn’t destroyed it (yet). She definitely plays with this ball the most and I love the fact it doesn’t get slippery with her drool!

Puppy love this ball

I purchased this ball for our puppy because I wanted a ball she could easily grab but that wouldn’t be a choking concern as she grows. She loves it. Can grab it easily. It seems quite durable.

We both love it!

Our female Dalmatian, Ellie loves this toy! Its her first choice of toys to play with outdoors. It's my favorite because she can't easily destroy it. The size makes it enough of a challenge she doesn't get bored. The soft texture means it easier for her to bite and pick up once she gets it in the right spot to fit her mouth. She isn't large (33lb) but she has destroyed most smaller toys we've played fetch with in a short time.
