Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
I like this ball a lot. It was a lot of fun and my dog enjoyed it while it lasted and the grooves made it very easy for him to catch on the fly. He is a pitbull, but he is not wildly destructive like some others of the same breed are. I would rate him a 7/10 chewer. However, there was something about this ball that made him want to sit and chew it once he retrieved it. He would come back and shake it and then chew at for several seconds until we told him to drop it. That small amount of chewing resulted in the ball becoming destroyed after 2-3 months or less. If your dog doesn't try to chew toys while playing it may be a good option, but for any breed that likes to chew (even if your dog is not an aggressive chewer) this may not be the best toy.
I payed a premium price for a dog toy with the impression it would last more than two weeks, my dogs love this toy and have a great time with it but in a short period it has ripped open with the insides falling out and soon will have to be thrown away, this company has many very good dog toy but be aware this one is not going to last long if you have a dog that likes to play with ur a lot.
My dog chews EVERYTHING. I tried multiple different balls and she destroyed them on impact. I saw this ball at our dog park - someone had left it behind. All the dogs were playing with it and chewing on it and it was still on one piece after a week before someone took it home. We have now had this ball two weeks. My dog plays with it all the time and not one scratch, dent or bite mark. The design of the ball makes it very easy for her to carry and easy for me to toss to her. I highly recommend it.
Please beware!! My dog almost died! She chewed a hole in this ball and swallowed some of the foam, it expanded, and then had bloat. She had to have emergency surgery ($6300) to save her life. Please be careful when giving this to your dog. I didn’t know she chewed a hole in it until it was too late! Lesson learned!
Our Australian Shepherd loves this ball, but it does not stand up to all the activity. We have only had the ball for a couple of weeks and it already has rips in the plastic. She has gone through at least five or more of these in her three years that she has been with us.
My corgi LOVES this toy. I take it to a field and just let him go. He can push it and chase it around for hours on end. It wears him out without me needing to do any work! Would recommend!
The Chuckit! Kick Fetch balls, along with the Chuckit! Max glow balls are the only balls my dog will play with. She loves both the green and orange ones and we love how bright they are to see in the dark or snow. The balls are out in the yard through all kinds of weather and they last a long time. The green ones glow in the dark too, which are great. The photo in this review was a ball we have had for over a year and survived all the snow and below zero temperatures last winter.
This lasted a day with our 6 month old puppy. I got it to replace the soccerball that he plays with. I liked the thought of the edges for him to carry it but the stitching didn't hold up. For the money I could get a $10 soccerball for him to not destroy instead.
For those of you who rated this ball poorly no where did it say it was for your 100 pound SUPER chewer dog.. this is a fetch ball and doesn't do well when left outside or unsupervised. But my husky is super picky with toys and she loves playing soccer with this ball! This will be the second time I've had to purchase it cause my dumb self left it at the dog park..
This is my dogs favorite toy. We kick it and he goes after it and brings it back. I buy this as a gift for other dogs and it is a hit!
