I have a large doberman, Cavill. He is still under 2 years old and did grow up playing with any balls. I got these because he started going after a lacrosse ball. He likes to go fetch this ball a lot. He even learned to put it in my hand. These balls have 2 holes. I fill them with treats and the dogs are able to get the treats put by moving the ball, squishing it with their mouth and/or paws.
After reading the reviews I ordered this for my granddog for Christmas. He loves it and carries it around in his mouth all the time. It is his new favorite chew toy. He has been chomping on it for over 2 weeks and it still looks as good as the day he got it. He is a big dog, half Great Dane and half Pitbull and weighs around 100 lbs. I ordered the large for him and it fits his mouth perfectly. He is a fairly aggressive chewer and he hasn't chewed this ball up so far, so I would recommend it. As for the glow, it does have a faint glow at night, but that isn't why I got it, so it doesn't bother me that it doesn't glow super bright.
Bought these as 'extras'. Currently have 2 that we use. Use at night - I shine a flashlight in the hole of the ball for about 5 - 10 seconds, and ball glows green for visibility in dark. Each time ball is fetched, it gets another 'shot' of flashlight. The glow seems to last quite a while. My dog loves the 'squishiness' of the ball and the sound it makes when she bites it. :)
Harri still hasn't been able to catch the balls in flight or after the bounce, but I think she does it on purpose because she wants to kick the ball around. I don't know if she likes these more than her other balls, but they are just the right size to fit in her mouth. Dainty Ms. Et (Harriett), likes the balls also, but just isn't into the toys like Harri!
Excellent product. It doesnt glow for a long time. But its really good when it ts dark at the park !! It rally glows. See picture I bought the small one and the medium for my mini schnauzers Totally recommendable and an excellente price
My 6 yr old american staffordshire terrier absolutely LOVES this ball. She destroys tennis balls in minutes but we've had this one for over a year. She carries it around with her everywhere & sleeps with it & its just now starting to get a break in the material after countless days of playing fetch & her just simply working her jaw bone with the ball in her mouth. Please never discontinue making this! It would break her heart! (And mine)
She loves these balls! My last two vanished (i think the neighbors visitors liked them too) but we had them for almost a year and there was no damage to them. Super easy to charge the glow and easy to wash off. They whistle when thrown fast enough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Keeps my pup busy for hours. I use the crunchy biscuits and stick them in the ball and my mini dachshund will roll that ball all over the house to get the treats. The ball itself is easy to clean, very durable, and glow in the dark.
My Vizsla loves these balls. They are gummier than other Chuck-it balls, so he loves to catch it and chew on it. Plus the hollow center creates a whistling sound that helps him track it in mid-air. Great find, I will be purchasing more
We got a chuckit! launcher and then was gifted one of these glow in the dark balls for it. My dog refuses any other ball now. He will run around the yard in circles until he finds it. We think he enjoys how soft it is to chomp on and being a lighter material it bounces well even in grass, making it extra fun. We now buy one every time it's on sale to keep on handle for when the active one gets too dirty or gets lost over the fence. The glow feature is really great with the time change and playing in the dark!
